Yes.

Jehovah's Witnesses are unique for their rejection of paganisms, use of God's personal name, and global preaching by every active adherent. No other religious organization can claim such purity of worship.

These facts about Jehovah's Witnesses are perhaps relevant to this question. The more one compares this Christian religion with others, the more remarkable it is shown to be.

1. Jehovah's Witnesses have no paid clergy. Yet they remain tightly organized with more than 6.5 million active Jehovah's Witness preachers (about 16 million associate themselves with the religion). Even fulltime preachers and workers at their branch offices are unpaid volunteers.

2. There is no elite class among Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the few 'anointed' among them enjoy no special privileges in their congregations on earth. An anointed person (one of those relative few with a heavenly hope) is not elevated above his fellow congregants in any way, and he may not even qualify for appointment as a simple 'deacon' or elder. There are no titles; EVERYONE is addressed as 'brother' or 'sister'.

3. No person benefits economically from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the 8 to 20 men who serve on their Governing Body receive simply room, board, medical care, and reimbursement for certain personal expenses according to the exact same provision as every other branch volunteer.

4. About a hundred men have served on Jehovah's Witnesses' Governing Body committee during the past 125 years or so. The vast majority of them have spent the vast majority of their adult lives volunteering for their organization's purposes, and the vast majority have died faithfully and near-pennilessly while still under their legal 'vow of poverty'.

5. Amazingly, Jehovah's Witnesses did not splinter as a sect from some other religion. Instead, a truly tiny but sincere group of bible students studied only the Scriptures to determine the will of God. Thus their religion remains absolutely independent of and not carrying the sins of Christendom's history, yet carries the authority of Christ's teachings.

6. Despite the distortions of anti-Witnesses, throughout their modern history Jehovah's Witnesses have refused to claim divine inspiration or infallibility for their teachings. They have pointed to the bible (and not any particular translation) as the only inspired infallible means of knowing God's thoughts. For over 125 years, their teachings have been presented as merely the results of sincere bible research by imperfect but godly humans.

Of course jehovah's witnesses are the true religion.
For instance Jehovah's witnesses believe the bible is the inspired word of God (2Timothy3:16)They worship jehovah as the only true God. They believe, Not that Jesus christ is part of the trinity but that as the bible says he is the son of God. They believe that Gods kingdom is the only hope for man kind, and that it is a real Gov't(Daniel 2:44) and it will soon destroy the wicked system of things(Psalms 37:9-11). They believe that 144,000 anointed christians will go to heaven(Revelation14:1)they believe that Gods original purpose for the earth will be fulfilled ;and that the earth will be completely populated by worshipers of God. (psalms37:29)They also believe that it is important to apply the counsel of Gods word in everyday life at home , school, work and in the congregation(Isaiah 43:10-12).Through my knowledge of different religions Jehovahs witnesses are the only religion that teaches strictly from Gods word the bible and applies its godly counsel. In other chuches some teachings are just based on tradition such as Christmas a PAGAN holiday!

True religion will follow five things:

1. Use, respect and obey God's Word - the Bible. Not just parts of it that fit what they want to hear, but all of it. (2 Tim. 3:16)
2. They would see that God's kingdom is the only solution to the problems that mankind faces. Realize that God's government does NOT rule through the earthly governments now in place. (Dan. 2:44)
3. They would be no part of this world as Jesus commanded them to be. The people of this religion would not allow themselves to be squeezed into the world's mold. (Romans 12:2)
4. They would be known by God's name - Jehovah, who is most high over all the earth. God's name was originally in the Bible over 7,000 times until a man decided to take it out. (Ps. 83:18)
5. They (the adherents to this true religion) would have love among themselves. Love bonds true Christians. They would love each other regardless of race or ethnic backgrounds. It would be a true world-wide brotherhood.(John 13:34, 35)

When you have found the religion that goes by these five things, and not just some of them, but ALL of them, then you have found the one true religion.

I can't believe all the people who still think we are the same as the Mormons. We are not Mormons! I am not offended, but I just wish people would get their facts straight before they start telling stuff about us that's not true.

And we DO believe in Jesus Christ!!

there is so much humans don't understand about god.. spirituality religion... cause and effect and so on.... while mother nature was studying the effects of religion on earth... he power was such that she was mistaken for the god of religion... she is the one called Jehovah... In her judgement..she declaired that the only thing that can be considered sin is religion, and that catholicism and christianity were insidiously evil... and forbade any religion in her name... there is none is there? Although her period of study of religion proved her to have more than enough power behind her to be made the only god... She is called mother nature for she works for the balance of nature not the ego of humans... she is so capable of it that she left a prophetic omen behind in the witnesses... Two weekly magazines.... Watchtower... religious rhetoric... Tower of Babylon... to be destroyed... then AWAKE - full of nature's information.. low on religion... as in this is being awake or wake up this is the way...
She was there for a short time... and I heard that since she left the Jehovah's Witnesses have been absorbed into the christian movement... Are things getting a bit more imbalanced there? I knew some Jehovah's Witnesses a couple of decades ago... they use to carefully seperate themselves from religion and christianity... but as time went by they now call themselves christians although Jehovah's Witnesses still.... what a difference an influence and a couple of decades make...

We believe ours is the true religion. Yes. The question is, if you are a member of a religion, don't YOU believe YOURS is the one?

Queen? I've seen the allegation that witnesses twist the scriptures to make them say what they want to say. I've been meaning to ask this of someone. Please post or email me a specific example of what you are referring to.

Gibby: Who have YOU been listening to? What witness has ever told you that they believe they're going to get their own planet. I thought I'd heard everything.

Finally: Again with the accusations that we don't believe in Jesus. We absolutely do and any who says otherwise doesn't know a thing about us. Why not ask a witness instead of repeating what you hear from other non-witnesses.

The Jehovah's Witnesses has the truth that leads to everlasting life.

Their Bible is the most accurate found, being based on critical texts of the Vatican Codex 1209

They do not cry for peace and conduct war.
They pray for peace and practice peace.

They respect and follow, the best they can, the admonitions found in the Bible. Far different than the members of Christendom's churches.

They do not participate in man's political affairs knowing God finds man's government short and will soon destroy all of man's rule and authority.

They are honest, hardworking and trustworthy.

As a non-JW, I would say no.
Not that I hate them or anything. The problem arises when you have several thousands of years of history supporting the Bible, (including the New and Old) and then someone comes along and says, hey that all is wrong. The relationship between God and Jesus is all messed up; essentially turing everything on its ear becuase he had a 'revelation.'
Jesus said there will be many that will come after me, that will claim to be me, but they will be liars and deceives. So when you have prophets popping up starting their own religions, you can't help but think, YUP, not of God. I meant a man when I was a barista at Starbucks through College. He was raised a JW when he was younger. At the time, they all believed they were thhe 144,000 that would remain on the earth following the Tribulation. Well then their numbers increased beyond that amount and the whole house of cards came crashing down and multiple theories began to abound on what that actually meant. At that point his family realized it was all a crock and left. So, while I never was raised in that world, I would gladly take the advise and guidance of someone who was.

there is no such thing as a true religion when you are talking about masses of people because everybody has a different opinion that may clash against somebody else's. on a personal level Jehovah's witness might be the true religion for you if you find its most agreeable with what its saying.

well, some of them I've met have been really nice.
what can creep you out is when a bunch of guys come to your front door..lol

well, most of what they believe is Bible based. I'm pretty sure they don't believe in the Diety of Jesus though. They also don't participate in holidays like Christmas and Easter b/c of pagan origins.

I guess all I can say is see if they agree with the Bible or not!

No. I asked several JW's regarding their doctrines. Many of them wish to fight over the word crucifix instead using the word 'torture steak'. There are many members of the JW organization who are earnestly serving God to the best of their ability considering the knowledge they have. That is more than I can say for many other denominations of Christianity. However, I do have a hard time understanding how they can believe parts of the Bible, but not all of the Bible...in regard to John 1:1-6...they changed some words in their version of the Bible. There are some parts in the OT which are referring to the Holy One of Israel who is the Son of God, as Lord, yet the JW's put Jehovah in it's place. Most Bible scholars understand that Christ existed before His birth as a human being. Was He a created being named Michael? If the Bible says He is God, then how could He be created? The LDS have a similar idea...somehow reducing Christ's status as part of the God-head.
Gibbie--you're talking about the Latter day Saints, not the JW's.
