What exactly does this phrase mean? It obviously isn't "literally" true, since the LDS Church doesn't believe in the Trinity (or, at least, hasn't since 1834). When you hear the prase "we believe all things," what does that mean to you?

MRSA and other deadly antibiotic-resistant bacteria are no longer confined to hospitals – the terrifying truth is, they are everywhere
FROM NEW SCIENTIST
10-year-old boy living in Louisiana developed a cough, earache and fever. By the next day his fever had risen and his breathing had deteriorated and he was taken to hospital. Less than 48 hours later, he died from pneumonia.

Three weeks after, a 14-year-old boy, also from Louisiana, was taken to hospital with flu symptoms. Two days later his breathing problems got worse and he died from severe pneumonia.

children were among six in Louisiana and Georgia to have died from pneumonia last winter for the same reason. The illness that claimed their lives was caused by the "hospital superbug" MRSA, aka methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

Swedish superbug worries doctors
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- A rapidly spreading bacterium that is resistant to common antibiotics is worrying doctors in Sweden.

Well we are all pre-destined to die..

Are events – physical as well as social – predictable? Is everything that happens in this world pre-determined? Did God, at the dawn of Creation, decide what was going to happen in the human social world? Has He a definitely irrevocable plan for each and every individual? Is our destiny pre-decided? Can we change our destiny? Are we inescapably bound to our fate? Can we know what lies in store for us? How does prior knowledge of our destiny affect us?

Was the world predestined to end in the future? Who determines your destiny?

They don't believe in hell anyway, so what difference does it make. So many posts bring up the fact that some Christian told them they are going to hell. Why should you be offended by that when you don't believe in heaven or hell in the first place?

(BTW I have NEVER damned anyone to hell. I believe that is God's job - not ours and do not agree with that tactic. I feel we are not to be judgmental and that we are to love others unconditionally.)

I'm starting to think: "Gosh, so God created us starting with Adam and Eve. He must had known that we were going to "fall," so why did he even bother?" "What will happen to all those who don't believe in Christ as our Saviour only because they were raised a different way? Are they going to Hell when they die?" "Why is our religion the "ONLY" and the best? Isn't that judgmental of us? Couldn't that be a major sin that we don't realize we're committing?" "Why do we have to shove our Christian religion down others throats? If we don't, will all those people go to Hell? That's totally out of line...very cruel!" "What about the Rapture? It is so horrific for all of those who have not turned to God! The thought scares me!" I don't enjoy "belonging" to my religion because of all the horrible threats...

Any of you Christians have answers for my doubts?

I am looking for a job, have a BS Biology and research and technical writing experience. My pastor told me that God does not want me to work...is this true? He told me I must be fruitful and volunteer at a church and depend on my pretty wealthy parents. I would rather work. Any suggestions?

In the same way as Jupiter was rocked two years ago by the million-megaton impact of the comet Shoemaker-Levy, so Earth was bombarded 12,000 years ago by the fragments of a similar celestial visitor. It caused tidal waves, the mass extinction of many prehistoric species such as the mammoth and sabre-toothed tiger, and turned the world dark for months.

Professor Alexander Tollmann, the author of the study and an internationally renowned geologist, said: “The consequence of the impact explosions appears to have included a chain of up to a dozen individual catastrophes, including earthquakes, geological deformation, a vapour of plume and tidal waves.”
So since earth's destruction can very well happen again, do you see your life snuffed out while beleivers are spared from GOD's wrath?
Don't mean to sound harsh but many of you say things Happened in the past it's natural for earth to destroy life I guess you mean it would be natural for earth to snuff out your life for eternity?

How else will those heathen Martians ever hear the word of God. Unless we convert them all, their souls will burn forever in the lake of fire.

Does anybody else think we should start raising money for a "mission" to Mars?

....St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus (also known as St. Therese of Lisieux), "the Little Flower" - Virgin and Doctor of the Church. Are you planning to do anything special to mark this Holy Day? How will you be remembering this pure saint of God in YOUR life today?

It was this humble nun who said:

"Without love, deeds, even the most brilliant, count as nothing."
