Well beyond all the good answers, the fact that Jesus weapon was God's word, that is available to us too, and by the power of the Holy Spirit He gives us an example of how to defeat sin in our lives there is a parallel with the temptations that Adam faced and caused His fall and that here Jesus resisted bringing justification and life:

Genesis 3:6 VS Luke 4:1-13

The lust of the flesh: "the tree was good for food" VS "command this stone to become bread"

The lust of the eyes: "It was pleasant to the eyes" VS "the devil... showed Him all the kingdoms"

"The pride of life" "a tree desirable to make one wise" VS "throw yourself down from here"

That even Jesus Himself endured the same temptations that we deal with sometimes.....and He conquered them.

He was God in the flesh.......so He absolutely could not sin no matter what. But the temptation was still there because of the flesh that He put on while in this life

Not sure what you're talking about.
But I'm open to hearing stories....please, continue.

OHHH!!! Jesus and Satan and all that. I gotcha'.
They/we can learn that:
1. Satan is obviously ruler of this world if he could offer it to Jesus for one act of worship.
2. Since Jesus said "It is God alone we must worship" then we can realize that God and Jesus are two separate beings.
3. Satan will try to tempt you when you are at your weakest - Jesus hadn't eaten in 40 days and Satan dared him to make some bread. Jesus didn't do it because that's not what his powers were for - he didn't want to use/waste them on himself.
4. That if Jesus in earthly human form can stand up to Satan, then we can as well. It also proves what a great King Jesus is. May we all desire to follow his example of faithfulness to God.

Jed (below me) has a good point. Jesus was able to answer Satan because of his knowledge of the scriptures. Each time Satan tried to tempt him, he quoted the scriptures as a rebuke. Therefor knowledge of the scriptures can help us realize when we are being tested and what God would actually want us to do in such a situation.

1. We don't have to prove ourselves to anyone. Don't live under the pressure of always trying to be right, proving who you are in the kingdom, God knows and that is good enough.

2. Don't take unnecessary risks because you are a child of God and believe you are exempt from the troubles in life. God wants us to be wise as serpents, yet, harmless as doves.

3.Only worship God. What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul. Make sure your priorities are in their proper place. God first.

The others have good answers. I would point out just one thing I think many miss...that even Jesus submitted Himself to the scriptures. In this way, He not only defeated the devil, but showed to all the place of and the importance of scripture.
To resist the devil is failure UNLESS one FIRST submits himself/herself to God, and of course, His direction.

I somewhat have not, yet out of your positioned up.. i'm in touch. yet why might choose for to devil disapprove of transforming into people who lack know-how and freewill? There ought to be a reason. replaced into the rationalization pronounced? because of the fact from the line you quoted.. for sure devil, regardless to his mindset on people, looks to have self belief that people are greater useful to him.. and such superiority is given to them yet god?
