....St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus (also known as St. Therese of Lisieux), "the Little Flower" - Virgin and Doctor of the Church. Are you planning to do anything special to mark this Holy Day? How will you be remembering this pure saint of God in YOUR life today?

It was this humble nun who said:

"Without love, deeds, even the most brilliant, count as nothing."

Thank you so very much. I do not answer over here in R&S very often any longer due to hateful attitudes toward my faith. I had honestly not yet looked at the calendar and had forgotten this was her Feast Day....and as she is my patron saint, I will have to do something. She did little things for the greater glory of God. I was named for her and was born on the Feast Day of St.Teresa of Jesus. My Grams always said that was a very special thing....and I agree. I think I will start the Novena. Again, thank you for the reminder.
Peace be with you.

Sorry Father, My Lutheran Church doesn't honor St. Therese, however I shall. It is good to recall the examples set for us by the "cloud of witnesses".

Your friend in Christ,

Mark

I love comparing feast days. :-)

Our calendar shows today to be the feast day for St Remigius, Bishop of Rheims, 533.

However, since it's a Monday, I'll most likely treat it just like any other day.

God be with you.

We had Mass
The Carmelite Sisters will give out rose petals in memory of Therese who said"I will spend my Eternity doing good' and 'pouring down roses' on those in need.

Ha! Ha! Sophie! Fr K is an Anglican.

Wow. You really can put your head over the parapet here without realizing it sometimes.

Anyway, in answer, I shall mark it in no special way but offer my admiration for a charming sentiment.

Jesus commanded that his followers observe the memorial of his death. NOTHING MORE. He also instructed that his followers not use religious titles like "father." Matt. 23:9.
