I believe we have a pre-route based on who we are but also, I believe God sends you messages and it's up to you to listen to them and do something in order to change your destiny/life (here in earth and in Heaven):
Here's an example: you find a guy in a street, he is thursty, looks pale, sick... what would you do? help him? tyring not even to look at him? passing by and then regret and come back to help once he's gone? those "messages" can change your life, for the good and bad.
It is true that one action of your's and others evolves to another and to another and so on, but there's also a path, a way, and that explains why people sometimes die young or very old, excel or fail, etc.

Well, it really depends on where Quantum Physics goes.
Right now QP says that random acts do occur at the quantum level. These can then have a knock on effect into the non-quantum level and so the universe is non-deterministic.
If QP is found to be not random, but predictable (like Einstein wanted it to be) then the universe is deterministic.
However, if the univers is deterministic then it is so complicated that any simple model is going to deviate from reality pretty quickly. Look at our ability to predict the weather.
In fact if you want a accurate model you are going to need a second universe in which to build it. Also as soon as you bring information about the predictions into this universe, you have altered the reality compared to the model, so the model is no longer valid.
So. Either the universe is non-deterministic, or it is so complicated that for any non-trivial prediction (orbital mechanics are trivial, what I will want for dinner next week is non-trivial) is it so hard to predict that it might as well be non-deterministic.

PRIOR to the ACA costs went up( ins co did what ever they wanted to), service went down. Doctors decreased in numbers( most left because they did not have enough paying customers), critically ill patients increased in numbers( no one went to a dr for preventive care). Procedures were dictated by insurance companies nullifying patient/doctor discussions and decisions. Age and health status was a pre existing condition considered for treatment or denial thereof, by insurance companies . Procedural costs was also a factor and decided by insurance companies. Insurance companies decided if you are too old or too sick for further care. Your second question- the t-party knows nothing! Medicare should be extended to all. Some t-party and rep want us to believe it is about quality of care however it is about affordability.

No I don't think the world and myself are pre-destined. My choices prove that. How else would you explain people changing their lives around and living a better life from one they were living that was destroying them? You can change your life and make your own decisions. About the only things we can't control is death and taxes...and we still can live longer if we live better.

Only you are the one who can determine your destiny. God may already know what you will do because God's time and our time is differently seen. God sees the past & future. We only see the present.
We can however foresee our future at times when we are about to make a decision. For a split second we can foresee the outcome. Sometimes we ignore it, and other times we take it into consideration.
Use your conscience as a guide.

I don't believe in a predetermined destiny, i believe we make our own destiny. I believe that God sometimes sent us signs for making a better choice for ourselves in order to help us, but ultimately, we must choose.
The world might end or be eternal if we choose it to be, we are the drivers of our lives.

I'm a soft-detirminist,
All things are caused by other things, it's impossible to tell what things are going to trigger other events, but it doesn't mean i'm going to put a beard on those causes, and call them "god"
