Hi, I'm working on a paper about worshipping/celebrating God. I need a few more ideas. I put going to Church, living by his words, following the ten commandments, trying to live a lifestyle he would want me to live. I'm trying to think of other ideas. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

When I was spontaneously enlightened and Baptised of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ on March 13, LITERALLY born again, the following instantaneously happened to me (in a matter of the 15 seconds the direct experience of God that I was graced with, instant changes to my personality/loss of ego):

- I had lost all personal ambition and striving for professional and material goals in life.

- I would be happy as a beggar, this happiness came in an instant

- I saw the spark of the Divine within all people as children of God, and felt immense compassion and love towards all

- I lost the feeling that war is justified in certain cases.

- I lost all desire and care for material items or gains, even for material/monetary comfort (this is nice but not a requirement anymore)

- I recoil in horror at pornography, violence on TV or anywhere, human suffering and seeing bloody or gory movies and images of any kind of human suffering and violent death

What about you?

It seams to go past reaching others with spirit and truth with a hope of guiding them to life everlasting. But, rather it becomes a place for ego support and vindication for you and not for Jehovah. Why not spend this time with real peolpe face to face. Do you count your time while you are in here?

Except for a smaller percentage of people who are so bone-ignorant that they discriminate against people just for being "different," MOST of the hateful people who oppose the according of EQUAL rights to gays (including the right to marry their partner of choice, regardless of gender), claim to be doing so on "religious" grounds.

Now -- when it comes to the RRR Cult ("Religious" Radical Right), they almost always cite the Bible as the reason for their voicing their opposition. And THAT is very interesting, for two reasons ---

(1) NOwhere does the Bible *ever* authorize or appoint any person or group to act as **enforcers** of its precepts against society in general. (Much less its MISperceived precepts). That makes the RRR cultists some of the most colossal BUSYBODIES that the world has ever seen. The **only** passages that advocate enforcement are those dealing with CHURCH discipline. Vis-a-vis fellow *Christians*. ONLY. The Bible authorizes NO Gestapo.

and not argue with them about what they think is right or wrong? Example: If one group does not want to cut their hair, go to church on Saturday instead of Sunday or those who won't eat meat, etc. Don't you believe that they are responsible to the Lord, so only He can judge whether they are right or wrong?

Here's a story of an officer who tried to shut down an atheist gathering:

Would you consider this appropriate in the military or would you instead be glad to fight alongside atheist soldiers?

Def: The Greek Har Ma-ge-don', taken from Hebrew & rendered "Armageddon" by many translators, means
"Mountain of Megiddo," or
"Mountain of Assembly of Troops."
The Bible associates the name,
not w/ a nuclear holocaust, but w/ the coming universal
"war of the great day of God the Almighty." Rev 16:14,16
This name is applied specifically to
"the place [Greek, to'pon; that is,condition or situation]"
to which earth's political rulers are being gathered in opposition to Jehovah & His Kingdom by Jesus Christ.
Q: What is your understanding of Armageddon,
as referred to in the Bible?
Or your take on this defination of Armageddon?

I'm so inlove with this guy ...he's the love of my life and he means everything to me. I never loved anyone as much as i loved him.I would give him my soul if he asked for it. And he loves me back the same way..And we both want to spend the rest of our lives together but there's one problem :(
our religions are different he's christian and i'm muslim and in my religion we aren't allowed to marry someone from a different religion and i think he also cant marry someone from a different religion but he didnt tell me that but i know.and i told him about that problem and he's like don't worry about that and that he loves me and wants to be with me and marry me
but my relgion doesnt allow me to marry someone from a different religion plus my parents if they knew they would get so mad at me and im so sure they won't aprove of him marrying me. im so sad i love him more than anything and he means the world to me :(

1828-1834: Church of Christ
1834-1838: Church of the Latter Day Saints
1838-1851: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
1851-pres: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Several apostles and leaders, including David Whitmer, seemed to thing so (and were excommunicated in 1838, just before it was changed back).

I think they haven't made nearly enough. I can see them making "Land before Time 27: Littlefoot's adventures in Geriatric Care"

And there's no need to stop there, they could just keep going all the way to extinction. Like they could make "Land Before Time 8000: The Big Meteor Shower". I can see that one being a big hit.
What do you think?

This is the 1st & most important of Gods commandments.

I am thinking that our heart is to spiritually love the Lord. The mind is the physical mind & the soul is the soul choices & the strength is our physical strength & body.

Someone, in a recent question, said that a gay preacher is hypocratic(they mispelled hippocratic *the doctors oath* and meant hypocritic)...

So why? Where does it say that a gay man can't be a preacher? Oh...in the same place where it said a man who lies can be a preacher? In the same place where it says someone who stole can't be a preacher? In the same place where it said a man who judges can't be a preacher?

There is nothing special about gays compared to liars, stealers, and judgers...so why are you judging gays by saying they're so evil...

Did you know Jesus never spoke against gays and said His love comes for ALL....not just straight??

I don't know much about paganism.

Does each individual have their own beliefs or are there a set of rules/beliefs etc. that you have to follow?

I'm not really thinking of becoming a pagan, i just want to learn.
Thanks.

Atheists argue that there is no reason whatsoever to believe in the existence of a god - and I agree - bit isn't there also insufficient evidence to completely rule it out? Isn't there some element of faith in the belief that there is definitely no god?
And if so, might superfluous conclusions be something that atheists and religious people actually have in common?

Who believes that evolution means the origin of life from nothing (or dirt, etc)???

I asked a question about creation being in a science class.

Many people think evolution is something from nothing.
