Hi, I'm working on a paper about worshipping/celebrating God. I need a few more ideas. I put going to Church, living by his words, following the ten commandments, trying to live a lifestyle he would want me to live. I'm trying to think of other ideas. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

The best way to enjoy public worship in church is to develop a private time for worship. Do more than go to church, actually spend time reading His word and talking to Him about it. The whole purpose of Christ coming was not to establish a religion but to open an avenue for mankind to have a relationship with God. Worship at home is just as important as worship in a church building.

There is not just one way to worship God, you do not need to mouth your worship and praise all day long even God would not expect this, the saying that goes ` Bloom where you have been planted`` is a truism regarding this, God expects us to do the duty He has given us to the best of our ability, this can be the married state or single life, professional person or shop floor worker, and just as a mighty tree pleases God by it`s simply being a tree, so too we can make ourselves as an offering of praise to God in being us and doing our duty well in our state in life.

I think your list is pretty good. Worship began with Abraham when he took Isaac up to mount Moriah. As they approached Mount Moriah Abraham said to his servants, "I and the lad will go yonder and we will worship, and come again to you."
worship through the Bible is always connected to sacrifice. What you are willing to sacrifice for your God demonstrates how much your God is actually worth to you. Romans 12:1 says "Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God which is your spiritual service of worship. Holiness (separation from the world) is the greatest form of worship we have. If I am willing to die to the world and its pleasures for God that is the greatest form of worship God gives us.

Plant trees, go to a dirty or neglected part of your town and clean it. Give away your excess clothes to the poor. Volunteer at a hospital or nursing home. If you have space for a garden dedicate half of it to feeding the poor. This is how I show my gratefulness for all that I have received. If you believe that God has blessed you, share your blessings with others.

Keeping God foremost in your thoughts. When you cook breakfast, do it to the Glory of God. When you drive to work, do so understanding that God is with you, and with that poor guy that doesn't know how to drive in front of you. Like that.
