According to the world, we are extremists, but who do you wish to please? The world, or God?
Joh 15:18 If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it has hated you.
Joh 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.
Joh 15:20 Remember the Word which I said to you, A slave is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted Me, they also will persecute you. If they kept My Word, they also will keep yours.
Joh 15:21 But all these things they will do to you on account of My name, because they do not know the One who sent Me.
Joh 15:22 If I had not come and had not spoken to them, they had no sin. But now they do not have excuse as to their sin.
Joh 15:23 The one hating Me also hates My Father.

I am like you. But I do not pay attention to what people may say. There are people that are always watching TV, aren't they extremist? There are people studying science all the time, aren't they extremist? Etc. They are.
You are normal. That is the best part of this life. To love the Lord.

Me, too. Look kid, the word 'extremist' is TOTALLY subjective and ONLY means someone who disagrees with the speaker. Democrats call Republicans extremist and Republicans call Democrats extremist. The only difference is who is speaking.
Namecalling does not relieve us of the responsibility of the Great Commission, or any other Christian duty.
If you're going to hang out on Yahoo, you need some callouses on your self image. Stay confident in who you are in Christ. Yahoo is no place for wimps.

Let them think what they like, that's a part of their freedom to choose for themselves (and their obligation to shoulder the consequences, whether they be good or bad). If they don't like it, that's their problem. You can try to help them if you want, but do it in a clearly loving way. If you do, this still doesn't mean that they'll come around, but what they think of you isn't that important. How you behave, how you respect and honor the Word, that's what's important.
In short: The freedom to choose is one of the most important parts of God's plan. If it weren't important, we'd be here without any freedom of choice, and we'd all be saved.

Personally I am not a Christian. I do not care what you do with your time. If you would like to read the bible great for you. Just as long as you do not preach to me or try to convert me than its all good. I really hope whoever it is that discriminates against your faith learns tolerance for others soon. without it the whole world is going to kill itself.

Your being obediant to what God wants for us...others hate you/us because deep in their hearts they know there is a God that loves them but their cold heart will not alllow them to believe.

I'm not a Christian, but if it is something that makes you happy then there is no reason to stop. Don't be too caught up in what others think.

Loving others isn't contingent on whether or not they love/approve of you.
We are called by Jesus to love everybody, no matter how they treat us or what their opinions are about us.
I know that's hard -- nobody knows that better than me. But we have to do out best.
So keep praying, reading and living your life loving others and God as Jesus commanded.

What you can do is to quit worrying about what other people think. You are supposed to be trying to please God, not people.
Besides, Jesus predicted that people would hate you, because they hate the one that you serve. It implies that you must be doing the right thing.
