By not allowing gays and lesbian to marry, our government is preserving the 'sanctity of marriage'. (Referring to the U.S. Government here)

So, pretty much, in a nutshell, this is our senators, our governors, our elected officials, putting their sexuality on a pedestal, and think that heterosexuality is superior to homosexuality.

There is no legitimate backing as to why they do this, no solid evidence, just biased religious beliefs.

Couldn't you find the least bit of discrimination in this? Even for as religious as you are, do you think our politicians should have the right to deny us rights, based on their beliefs?

When I have asked this question to local church groups and denominations(baptist, catholic, buddhist, mormons, etc.) they all give me different answers. The baptist say that the jews killed Jesus because he was white. And the Roman Catholics and buddhist say the romans killed jesus. So who really killed jesus?

To all you people that DONT believe in God, Why are you trying to convince everyone that does believe in Him that he's not real? You're suckin the good right out of them! Do YOU want to believe that when you die, you're no where?!

So according to Christian mythology, Satan intends to attack God in a final battle of Good vs Evil, where Jesus will win and send Satan and all of his demons to hell. Looking at the count, Satan's army consists of 1/3 of all the angels, while God still maintains his 2/3 majority. With the odds against him, Satan must have some kind of clever plan to defeat God in this final battle. His options? Train hard and fight harder. Use weapons that allow multiple enemies to be taken out by one person. Watch the movie 300 and look for clues. Some kind of strategy must be implemented.

Taking an honest look at history, we can safely assume that the majority of people who have died were unsaved therefore hellbound. It would make sense for Satan to recruit these cursed souls to join his army. Why not? They have a motive. He could always lie to them to gain there help, then torture them in the end anyway.

Christians argue that Satan would never agree to help from humans.

But why?

My kids father was telling me he read in the bible about a man and his son. The son didn't do right by his father or something like that. But when the son return home it was like the father welcome him with open arms and didn't hold what he did against him. I was wanting to know if anyone knows what book that is from. Where I can find it. My kids father was telling me the story saying he hoped that it would be how I welcome him back. Any help would be highly greatful

We actually do "worship Mary" -- but not with the sort of worship that is due to God alone (latria) which has become the modern Protestant sense of the word (this is why many Catholics, using this modern definition, insist we don't "worship Mary"; we most definitely don't believe she is God! We do not "worship Mary" in any sense that Protestants accuse us of, we don't "worship Mary" in the modern, Protestant sense of the word!). "To worship" does not necessarily mean treating someone or something as God. The British call their magistrates and mayors "Your Worship," and I don't think any of them mistakenly consider Mayor So-and-So to be the Father Almighty. The point for Protestants reading this is this: if you come across a traditional Catholic text referring to "Mary worship" in a good light, don't freak out.

Yes, we actually pray TO Saints. Some conservative Catholics are afraid to say this, mistakenly thinking that "to pray" means "to worship as God or a god" (or are afraid that Protestants think that). All they need is a dictionary to find that "to pray" means "to ask."

Now, pray tell, was that so hard to figure out?

Hi, i'm 15 yrs old attending high school. i have noticed lately that i have been hearing voices taunting and cursing at me. in the streets, i hear voices saying ho*e, ugly, *whistles* and all these filthy behaviors. I don't know what to. even in my shower i hear the voices cursing at me. i told my parents and they told me oh well. can you believe it? i want to get serious prayers or see a doctor for mental help. can you help?

I dont kinow what it means to be saved and accept Jesus.
I believe that God made the world and jesus is his son and he died on the cross. But what does it mean to accept him? how do you do that? if you do it do you really start loving everybody? some people its a good thing God loves them because i can't hardly stand them.

1 hour later he (my step son ) argues that the 'person' Jesus exists but no one has proved he was the son of god! .....help some one bring me some rope!

I came from a very conservative Christian community. My faith is still VERY important to me, but I am discovering that it is ok to celebrate who God created me to be without conforming to what is expecting me to do. I am appearenly "unacceptable" since I am in an inner-racial relationship and do not look and think like everyone else. I love people for who they are and am artistic and love to express that. People are saying mean things about me and even to my boyfriend. I feel so sad and depressed. What can I do?
