I came from a very conservative Christian community. My faith is still VERY important to me, but I am discovering that it is ok to celebrate who God created me to be without conforming to what is expecting me to do. I am appearenly "unacceptable" since I am in an inner-racial relationship and do not look and think like everyone else. I love people for who they are and am artistic and love to express that. People are saying mean things about me and even to my boyfriend. I feel so sad and depressed. What can I do?

LOL no I am not in an inner-racial relationship because I am artistic. I dress differently (but modestly) and think different because I am artistically.

The thing is, I wanted to minister to others because I am passionate about my faith, but how am I supposed to if they think I am evil?

You can't control others, only yourself! Allow them to be and think what they want, so you can be allowed the same. It doesn't matter what others think of your life - because IT'S YOUR LIFE, not theirs. Just be grateful for the things in your life that make you happy and satisfied, do what feels right and try to be around people who make you feel good too! Don't give your energy and attention to people who are negative or hurtful. They don't deserve it.

Spice,
the message of Jesus was to love one another. That you have a black boyfriend or a guy from ?? only establishes that you have love in your heart and are not judgmental.

that you are judged harshly is something that others around you are watching to see how you behave, what you do and how you respond. It is based on that which will determine if they are going to believe that Jesus is someone worthy of their time.

we are all ambassadors for Jesus. If you read through my questions, you will find that my answers can be pretty tough. Brutal sometimes. and sometimes they can be softer more accepting of someones condition.

when you accept Jesus, he makes you aware that in the world you will have tribulation. It is a guarantee of it.

but having now become an outcast, you are able to reach those who desperately need Jesus Christ, and are listening. Many of the people who respond here, seem to think that they have all the answers to life. When you ask a question about God they say, no god, no legit question. Yet if they knew all, understood all, then and only then, having the nature of God, could they declare there is no god.

So as Paul would tell you, that comfort in the fact that Jesus has placed you in a humble if not humiliating spot, for your testimony that others might hear your words and obey the Gospel. It is indeed hard. I know that. I have been on both sides of the track, the cannon fodder and the command staff. The food is better at the top, but the audience who would need Jesus is less receptive as they don't need him, they have it all very well.

email me if you want to talk.

Judgement can be a good and bad thing, it tests your faith and beliefs constantly so if you truely believe that nothing is wrong with what you are doing then chance are you will be unable to be rattled by the judgement of others. I believe that there is no where that the bible states that it is sinful to mix races, unless you get it from the verse "no mixing of the yolks". SO I think you have a calling to witness to others that may feel like you do about judgement so use this as a spring board to your cause. God loves us all and made us all EQUAL and there is no reason you should think otherwise. Your message can and will be heard by the ears it is meant to hear it and can be a planted seed to those whom reject it as well so live your life stay true to God and don't let others opinons drag you down.

Maybe people need a wakeup call.If they are christians they should know judging you about your relationships black or white or whatever is a sin.God looks on the heart not the skin color. We have a divide in our family because of something so silly as skin color. How foolish!I'm sorry that you are having a hard time.I can't imagine the pain.
Pray about it.He will show you what to do and how to confront these people. And give you the peace of mind you need.

Dear one, I fear there will always be those who judge others. The bottom line is, that you 'care' what Jesus thinks. If you are a Christian, then you know how you are to act, and be, and you know your actions, as well as your reactions, are very important. So talk to God about your situation. Talk in detail, voice your concerns and why.... Read your Bible and see how God speaks to you through HIs Word. If someone says something upsetting to you, just say, "I'm sorry you feel that way." and walk away. You are not responsible for other peoples feelings, but you are responsible for your witness. Talk to your pastor.

If that were the case then, since there is no god, there could be no judgment. So should we lead our lives promiscuously, without judgment or discretion? Should we eliminate the court system? Should we forget about selecting the best produce and just fill our shopping baskets without looking at the tomatoes or apples? Should we cancel our state fairs and tell all the 4H kids to forget about whether Bossie's a cow worthy of best in show? Life without judgment is foolishness.

You cant control what others do and what they believe. You can 1. stand up for your rights and beliefs by telling them that it is not okay to judge you for something that is not wrong and that their behavior is unacceptable and inappropriate. 2. you can just ignore them, or 3. you can move to a city that is more tolerable toward human rights.

*Add* All you can really do is be a reflection of God's love. Regardless of how you look, and who you date, that will be the ultimate factor in ministering to others. When they see God's work in your life, they will draw close to you. But if you are not walking the walk, they will see that too...

Iam a Bi racial female and you need to learn that your never goon stop being judged by people no matter what the situation may be . people in society are very judge mental about so many different subject and racism still exists no matter what the year is today. People will probably never except you again like they did before and if they do they are faking it to be nosey. see because you are your own individual person making your own decisions people don't like that. but hey wonder what it's like to do what your doing. you aren't wrong for it if your happy be happy and live happy with your decision. just remember people don't think of you like you think about them and God blessed you with a open mind just like he did to them but they closed there's and you left yours open. who says you can't love God. They forgot god made all of us no matter who and what we came from he made us by his image and likeness . so ignore ignorance and smile back with ever stare and whisper you receive . because they are the ones missing out on happiness. God can only judged us people can't and they seem to forget that.

The sad thing is that there is nothing that you can or should do. I actually feel sorry for people that take the time to judge because they are taking away from being the best person that they can be. I was real big on judging people until I had to take a real hard look at myself and now I concentrate on improving myself more and alot more positives thing are happening for me.

People are judgmental by nature. Judging others is an automatic mental process, even when we don't express it. The only way to stop people from judging you is not be around people.

My snap judgment of you: You sound like a nice sensitive person.
