about someone who leaves the organization - "they know it's the truth". However, I never hear them say about the person that left that "they just don't believe we have the truth".
Why is that?

Romans 10:9-10 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved..

So if a person believes that God raised Jesus from the dead, does that mean he is "saved" or is there more to it than that?

Why do we not have the option of silent prayer before starting a day in a public/government institution where school age children face so much of life's turmoil in our society? My other question was - why is the gov't removing God - this is but one meaning behind that question. It isn't about being taught religion in a gov't/public institution - it is about being able to enforce your faith as you understand it to be... taught by your pastor, reverend, priest, rabbi, parent or any other.

I will be the first to admit I get frusterated with Christian attitudes with us. BUT I have noticed more and more, at least here, Christians have defended us in the nicest way. I was wondering how many of you actually respect us?

Elhanan Ben-Avraham wrote this description of a typical day in Jerusalem. It makes me wonder why so many people think that only a few mentions of Jesus (Yeshua) in an ancient history do not prove that he existed. Instead, I find it amazing that the likes of Josephus mentioned him at all.

God said here's a cool tree, but don't touch it. Then He sent a serpent to further the temptation.

Would this really hold up in court?

MARK 10:017 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

MARK 10:018 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Of Lazarus and the rich man? From Luke 16.19-31.

This is one of the most misinterpreted parables. What's your take on this one?

I would love to see what a non-believer gets from this, compared to what christians are "taught" about it.

If God (All glory and praise to His name) is Omniscient and is the source of all life, why would He give life to human whom are predestined to go to Hell, despite His advanced knowledge of all human fate and destiny? How do you understand God's for-ordinance to all things? Why did Job cry out and uttered these words:
"3 May the day of my birth perish,
and the night it was said, 'A boy is born!'
4 That day—may it turn to darkness;
may God above not care about it;
may no light shine upon it.
5 May darkness and deep shadow claim it once more;
may a cloud settle over it;
may blackness overwhelm its light.
5 That night—may thick darkness seize it;
………………………
20 "Why is light given to those in misery,
and life to the bitter of soul,
21 to those who long for death that does not come,
who search for it more than for hidden treasure,
Can you answer with sensible reasoning?

...if your children decided to go against your firm belief system? How would you HONESTLY handle it? I know there are alot of tolerant people out there so be specific. Please don't leave it at, "I would just leave them alone and let them believe whatever they want to believe."

If it is a friend it might be a different case but this is flesh and blood so think about your answer.

I am just wondering.

I've always been against abortion but when I hear about cases where little girls as young as 9 get pregnant as a result of rape, it gets to be a serious dilemma in my mind.

Take a circumstance where the little girl may die if the pregnancy is continued. What if there comes this time when the parents of the little girl must choose between the life of either their daughter or their granddaughter? Which is the RIGHT choice? It seems like it is a choice left to us mortals.
