Jesus was not God. ok. The NIV isn't the same as the old KJ. The niv added to it, and changed words around. to give it different meaning. If you read the following verse You wil find it gives it a whole different meaning. In verse 20 which you did not include in you question. reads. "For the Father loveth the son,and sheweth him all things that himself doeth. And he will shew him greater works than these, that you may marvel. (be surprised). Jesus wasn't trying to defend himself. You misunderstood his answer. Maybe if you read it from v 19 all the way to the end of the chapter. You might get a better understanding of its meaning.

God will not to show up in court to defend Himself against anything. He will not swear on the Bible and He won't testify because He will be the JUDGE and you will be the defendants.

Shut up and read the good book :

“There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses.

You longed for….. youth, when in Egypt your buttocks were caressed and your young breasts fondled. “ (Holy Bible - Ezekiel 23:20-21)
