Where's your limit? Would you kiss before engagement? Would you restrict how much body contact you have? Would you go away together but with seperate sleeping arrangements etc? They say that one thing leads to another. If you believe in saving sex for marriage, how far do you think it's sensible to go before your wedding day?

Would they believe there is a world if they cannot see it?
There is no evidence they can see, so how could you explain to them there was a world out here?
In order for them to have absolute proof they would need to see it.
How would you tell them?

God is spposedly all knowing. Thus He knows all. He knew what people would be thinking about here milleneums later...after HIS word was spread amongst us all.
I'm not anti-semitic. but I must wonder why we hear so much about a "Promised Land" and a "Chosen People" --- If the land is truly "Promised," did God not "promise" other land to other people?

It is difficult to believe that He "chose" Jewish people above all others.
Besides, God only "promised" land if Jews "avoided war and strife".
(and yes I am aware of the Holocaust.)
They have done just the opposite.
If we follow what we are led to believe, keeping in mind that Jews never try to convert others to the Jewish faith, it is as though these people only seek to rule the world.
and so who wrote the books of the Bible anyway? Were Gentiles involved in the wording of verses as relates to the "Promised Land" or "Chosen People"?

says he went to preach to the "spirits" in prision. Hell is not a prison, for in there is hope of release, and heaven is not prision. The spirits were alive, and were that of the old testament saints like Abraham, Noah etc. So, it logically follows that if God created this place besides heaven and hell, there is also a place scripture points out that you will not be released until the last farthinling (penny) Purgatory exists out of the mercy of God, because without it a person when he dies must be perfect and without any deflement (Rev.) and so then the only place for that person would be hell. But purgatory is a place of purification after one dies!!

(You know, the thing that causes the gnashing of teeth).

Does he let them change their mind if they decide they don't like hell? If not, isn't he less loving then a god who would?

I'm talking about 9/11 - pay tribute to all the poor souls who perished six years ago including the poor souls in the aircraft. And remember the Fire Department guys, nobody braver...

And answer me this: should we pray for the souls of the terrorists on board who caused the planes to go down? Should selfish cowards be included in forgiveness? Someone said to me that they should, but I find that something I can't come to terms with. I think the bible mentions all sins will be forgiven, but surely that act was driven by selfish evil, for the self to be glorified in eternity and all that stuff. How can it be forgiven?

Now when I say how divided we are I meant in terms of how many sects and denominations there are. Also how would Jesus feel if he were here? Was this one of the reasons that he hated religion?

Why is it that even after sources are provided from the Quran to answer this question people pass through it and over-look it as if they WANT to believe that it's true? It seems to me people don't seek the truth , they seek what they want to make reality.. so they can be content with their false misconceptions about Islam..

Am I right or wrong?

"O ye who believe!... [do not] kill yourselves, for truly Allah has been to you Most Merciful. If any do that in rancour and injustice, soon shall We cast him into the Fire..." (Qur'an 4:29-30).

"The blame is only against those who oppress men with wrongdoing and insolently transgress beyond bounds through the land, defying right and justice. For such there will be a chastisement grievous (in the Hereafter)" (42:42).

And this is for all religions, because no matter what religion is spoken of... people decide that they can say what they want about anyone without knowing anything.

Do people need to be more open minded?

If the wife does not submit to the husband as Eph.5:24 tells her to do.Does this mean that the Christian husband does not have to love her as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it, Eph.5:25.Or can he neglect to do what God has told him to do?

Okey dokey, I have a question.
Adultery is a sin. Blasphemy is a big sin. Sex without marriage is a sin. There are countless others, but those will do for now.
Why do you not lobby for adultery, public blasphemy, and people who live to together (in sin) to be illegal?
Why is it that those are sins, but not lobbied for like you do for anti-abortion laws and for keeping the right of marriage from gays?
Why the double standard? A sin is a sin, right?

Does the Christian God think its okay to have slaves?
0 What do Christians think of this passage from The Bible?
Excerpt from Exodus, Chapter 1:

“When you buy a male Hebrew slave, he shall serve for six years, but in the seventh he shall go out a free person, without debt. If he comes in single, he shall go out single; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him. If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master’s and he shall go out alone. But if the slave declares, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out a free person’, then his master shall bring him before God. He shall be brought to the door or the doorpost; and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him for life..

That wouldn't be fair. And if God is good he would never let that happen. I know the bible says that God will punish those who worship something else but how are we supposed to know which religion is right? We are not perfect and if God was perfect he wouldn't be a jealous God. That is all a bunch of bull used by humans. There is no proof of any of this. Think about it (use common sense!). God would not send his own children to hell! Another thing is...why do people pray to God if God doesn't help them anyway? Why would he listen to peoples' daily problems if he doesn't even help starving people in Africa or Jews in the holocaust? Furthermore, Jesus was Jewish. If Jesus is truly God then he would not kill what he has running through his veins (Jewish blood!).

Has anyone ever done a comprehensive search (documented) of false prophecies? I am referring to religious prophecy? Are you aware that there are men and women today, mostly on TV, who regularly prophesy about this and that? As far as I could tell years ago, NONE of their prophecies came to pass. I am largely referring to the 'health and wealth' preachers, and also the JW's, 7th Day Adventists, Mormons, Christian Science, ad infinitum. I am most interested in whether or not any of you have done sudh a study, and what you learned from it ????

Having belief in a God, but unsure of the specifics of God. What's the proper term? Other than 'confused'. *lol*

Would it be Deism or Theism, even though Deists hold the belief that God SPECIFICALLY doesn't interact with mankind and Theists believe that God does?

Is there a term that better fits this situation?
