meh. its because the media only shows suicide bombers and iraqis with guns and american soldiers being nice to little kids.
im totally against the war.
american soldiers are dieing
and civilians in iraq are dieing
its a total waste

Both can be true.
Islam might teach violence
Bush/ US might be killing innocent people.
I find these passages in the Qur'an that promote violence. And they convince me that Islam might be a violent religion in some people's minds.

Our current president is not in Iraq killing people. He supported and initiated the war in Iraq. The region is not stabilized and most civilian deaths are a result of Shiite and Sunni Muslims bombing each other, with terrorist groups helping.
You may not believe in the war or in its initial goals, but that is no reason to be deceptive. Religious violence is a problem in many parts of the Middle East. Look at Shariah Law in Saudi Arabia and the theocracy in Iran. A minority of this group wants our country to follow religious law, which means violating human rights and oppressing other people who do not follow Islam.

Grow up little girlie, the world as your parents would have you believe is not made up of bubble gum, lolly pops, and cotton candy. A lot of those people would sooner have you killed after you watch them murder your parents in front of you. These people can not be reasoned with they have no desire to be in the same room as you let alone on the same planet. They want every man, woman and child who doesn't think the way they do DEAD. Do you understand this? There is no room in there eyes to get along, no compromise, no isolation, they will seek Christians and non Muslims alike out and murder them just to dominate. Last I heard President Bush was here in the US.

Many Americans condemn Bush's war for profit; unfortunately we can't do anything about this until 2008; however, this is no way absolves Islam, which is a violent cult and has nothing to do with any religion. Also the USA does not behead people nor do we execute women for possession of lipstick by shooting them in the back of the head.

What many people don't realize is that Islam doesn't teach people how to hate and suicide bomb etc. The people who do these things are in the extreme minority, hence the term 'radicals'. Those select few who carry out such violent acts give the entire religion and everyone who claims it a bad name!

No Islam is not a violent religion. People are violent.

Good question. Most religions are violent. Unfortunately, most people and groups of people are capable of violence, with or without the influence of religion.
Don't listen to Dumbya's blatherings about Christianity. He didn't start the war for any good reasons - not to "spread democracy", not to "avenge 9/11" - none of that stuff. He started it because Saddam tried to kill his Poppy, and for oil money.
Also, Dumbya isn't personally over there killing people, nor are his children, nor are most children of most rich powerful USAians. That's what the lower classes are for, here in America.

It's true that innocent people who are Muslim are dying, but does that automatically make Islam a peaceful religion? No. That logic is sloppy.
