Living within the delusion that there is an all powerful deity watching over you, guiding your steps and working in mysterious ways does have its advantages. But in order to accept this, there is an ever growing mountain of illogicalities that block the light of truth from the believer.

So that’s the trade off is it? If you accept God, you get the benefit of a warm, fuzzy feeling but you willingly live in a reality that just doesn’t make sense.

Chief "Palestinian" Justice Taysir Tamimi claimed, "About these so-called two Temples, they never existed, certainly not at the Haram Al-Sharif (Temple Mount)," said Tamimi, who is considered the second most important "Palestinian" cleric after Muhammad Hussein, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem.

"There is no Jewish connection to Israel before the Jews invaded in the 1880s," said Tamimi.

The "Palestinian" cleric denied the validity of dozens of digs verified by experts worldwide revealing Jewish artifacts from the First and Second Temples.

"We are fed up with this crap nonsense of the Temple Mount," said Nasser Abu Aziz, the "Palestinian" deputy commander of Fata's Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the northern West Bank.

"Go look for your stupid Temple elsewhere. The Jews invented this story in order to justify their occupation of Jerusalem."

This is the kind of blatant lies that millions of Arab children are being brought up with, and believe. Will you allow this for YOURS?

I've been a christian for 10 years and have really started to struggle with this idea. The Bible very clearly states that people who don't believe in Jesus will go to hell and be eternally tortured. If God is love (1John), then why would he do such a thing that seems so cruel? I'm not trying to be confrontation. I really need help understanding this. I need answers.

When you yourselves are divided with "labels" of faith.
Should you not DROP the labels and bring your light of faith together.

Don't you think that all the confusing being expressed amongst yourselves is dispersing the light, instead of uniting it, to shine forth with brilliance upon those in the dark?

And does it support religious views?

The philosopher Nick Bostrom investigated the possibility that we may be living in a simulation. A simplified version of his argument is:

i) It is possible that a civilization could create a computer simulation which contains individuals with artificial intelligence.

ii) Such a civilization would likely run many – say billions – of these simulations (just for fun; for research, etc.)

iii) A simulated individual inside the simulation wouldn’t know that it’s inside a simulation – it’s just going about its daily business in what it considers the “real world”.

Then the ultimate question is – if one accepts that points 1-2-3 are at least possible, which of the following is more likely?

a) We are the one civilization out there in the universe that will eventually develop the ability to run AI simulations? Or,
b) We are one of the billions of simulations that has run? (Remember point iii.)

First of all I am an Israeli but that’s just because I was born here and can totally understand why you hate us. We suck big time. Occupation and all that.
I had a debate with my friend’s cousin today.
He says Islam is a bad religion is a bad religion cause Islamic countries, how do I say it… deprive people of there basic human rights more then Christians ones. And spatially woman. I was on your side, telling it’s got nothing to do with religion and it doesn’t say that Islam is less of a good religion then others. But he had many good arguments. You can deny it. But there are many cases of murder on the family over owner. Every day I can here in the news about a murder in the Arab community. And woman has almost no rights at all.
They are like an object in mans hands. She must marry the man chosen by her father even if she doesn’t like him. She is not aloud to date before marriage. And if she dose some thing wrong her life is in danger. And she is defiantly not equal to man. Those are pretty strong arguments. Those are all bad things if you did not know.
He told me he has an Arab Muslim colleague who thinks it is right to kill a woman if she sleeps with a man from another village. I don’t know it is right I find it hard to believe. But if it is what do you have to say for your self. And don’t tell me it’s your tradition. You would not like this tradition if you were a woman. And I do not try to be offensive. I have a lot respect for Islam,
But also a lot respect for woman’s rights.

Christian's follow along very closely, see if you can get it, don't get caught up with spelling mistakes or satirical nuances. Think of Lord Malaprop if you don't know who he is I'm sorry moving on, God admired his creation's, its important that I refer to creation's as HIS because all religious text anywhere has male all over it, got that, thank you. But HIS creation's could'nt write or build churches. So God got frustated and sent a asteriod to wipe them out, (this is possible because HE's all powerfull and the text of all religion's say HE can be a real pryck when he wants to. The mass extinction event took out most of HIS creation's especially the big ones, are you with me or am I going to fast. Now the earth was wide open for mammalian evolution, HE got frustrated again because it took another 65 meeellion years for mamals to evolve into worshipers who could write down HIS rules and build him great houses of worship, with blood in the mortar. Q's, is this in the ball-park, sheep.

If yes, let's unite and make a difference? Can you add an idea to this list?

I'll say, for me, maybe we could get a list of ill children and send them thousands of well wishes. What's your idea?

Its not fair. I have been a good guy for many years being celibate. Then, I quit celibacy, got a girlfriend because I was lonely, depressed and horny. Now after a few months of fornicating, God has given me some kind of illness. I'm getting headaches and this is all terrible.

Well, I'm going back to celibacy and hopefully God will lift this curse off of me. How long does it take for the lifting of curses to process? Can this be expedited if i pray to the east or something?

Well, I'll tell you something, now i'm sure there is a God existing.

since adam had no parents at all, should he not be considered greater than jesus?

2007-09-02 12:13:55 · 5 answers · asked by Don Corleone 1

I can't wait for Him to return back to this Hellscape Planet Earth. I see sins everyday and as the years go by, things seem to get worse and worse. The Bible states that Jesus shall return on a "white horse, with fire issuing from His snout and the blood of non-belivers upon His sword". You see, sometime violence is needed to wash away decaying filth such as Hollywood entertainment and women wearing short shorts. Back in the 50s things were so much better with men running the family and no birthcontrol or abortions. I want Jesus to return so we can go back to that glorious state of morality!

happening.
St Paul must have got a fright to be blinded,
and to have heard the voice of Jesus asking
him why all the persecution.I know a lot of people don't believe in Pauls writing but I do anyone agree.
