Reading.
Reading, reading, and more reading.
Exposure to different ideas, opinions, debates, scientific study and religious texts has great benefits and provides so much food for thought. Apologetics and the study of logical thinking are great too.
The Internet is a wonderful tool for spiritual discovery as well since it opens up communication between people of all faiths.

I was never raised strongly in any religion, although I was always told that I was "Protestant" which today, I kind of dislike for a few reasons, although I was never Christened so yay :D Effects today...well I am able to take the positive aspects from most religions, I'm tolerant and even inquisitive with regards to the other people's beliefs, I tend to see "Christianity" for what it actually is, at least in part. I view Paranormal things in a level-headed way, I'll accept the psychological and rational explanations, but I will also accept the paranormal/supernatural explanations, and will always look for the whole picture. I would never look down on a person based on their spiritual beliefs, or lack of, simply because they don't fit with my own. So yeah, I think I came out pretty well :) Spiritually, I lean more towards Buddhism, always have, before I even knew what the core beliefs were.

As a Kemetic spiritualist, it all started when my lifelong love of ancient Egypt (also known as Tamera) became...more than fascination.
It started out with just a love for the goddess Isis, but has branched into accepting, and thus, loving the pantheon.
Of course, one cannot just say, "I love all the gods - whoever they are." Haha. One has to develop a personal relationship with all of them.
Sounds like hard work, but it's a lot of fun.

Curiosity and the willingness to study many paths. I read lots of different things from all religions and think there is some wisdom in each.

I have gone through so many trials and tribulations. I have seen Jesus come through and pull me through every time. I think just having a personal relationship with Jesus along with the power of the Holy Spirit has shaped my beliefs.

Me becoming an adult. I was tired of being scared into believing something I've always had doubts about. I have my own ideas now and I express them accordingly and without throwing my own beliefs on others the way they love throwing theirs on me.

A long road through atheism and agnosticism and really hating my life and people in general, followed by many things that I later attributed to God that moved me into a rewarding and fulfilling life that introduced me to God and Jesus and brought me salvation and the light of truth.
