All species are related by common descent.

Humans can receive blood transfusions from chimps, but not other species. To suggest that evolution is false after the advent of genetic studies is very deceptive.

As for the bones of "Lucy," she is a few million years old and quite fragile. She is an important link in human evolution because she walked upright and had an opposable thumb. Now look at some of the other apes on this planet and tell me that the anatomy is at not at least somewhat striking:

Does it not also say something to examine the social behavior of the great apes? Some apes are capable of learning a language, meaning they possess self-awareness and psychological complexity like humans, though they cannot vocalize as we do. Humans in their hunting and gathering days did not appear very different. Human differences are in verbal communication and forward planning -- meaning civilization.

It's sad to see how many millions have been dragged away from the scientific method by religious charlatans with no in-depth study of science or of the natural world. If science continues to progress, our descendants will laugh at creationist naivety.

Response to dream_dress2: "Evolutionists present much of their finds as if they were compelling and factual explanations to human evolution."

There are compelling explanations for human evolution. Most of the hoaxes were from the Victorian age where there was a financial incentive to find the missing link. If you want to defer to ignorance, than suggest the alternative? After the advent of genetic studies, there is no way to deny evolution as a fact. Just admit the real reason for your disdain: personal religious views, probably evangelical Christianity in the United States. Other people don't have a problem with the facts.

They're actually the bones of an ancestor species that had not yet evolved into humans. It's inaccurate to call them "human", if by "human" you mean modern man.

By saying "I am a Christian and believe in God", I take it you have some problem with the theory of evolution. The theory of evolution is well established---modern biology and medicine would not be possible without it.

pls use your common sense.....we have not evolved form apes. You as a christian should know that god created human, animals, universe etc...... individually ! i don't care what the scientists say! just because their scientists doesn't mean they are the all knower( that is only god) don't read into what is found today and blah blah . Ok picture this ......what about the people who lived on earth without all the technology we have today? Do you think that they somehow missed out on the topic of evolution? there a lot of species that existed before and during out time tha t we don't even know what they are?? this is one of the miracles of god. Our knowledge is limited and god only gives us what he feels we should have. I know that the whole world no doubt is a test , but lets say that yeah maybe the bones do look human. Do you think that a- maybe god had another species of close to humans and they died out or maybe to test your belief?????????? I recommend you to go to www.thedeenshow.com

This is what i believe: Most archaeologist and anthropologists who find these bones that are "millions" of years old don't find all of the skeleton intact. They will find pieces within a section and piece them together to look like what they think it is. And if there is a big gap or missing bones, they just say that those bones could not be found. I am very interested in this topic. e-mail me and i'll try to give you some of the research that i've found!

Most likely they are ape!
As a Christian you must know that Satan does his best to undermine any truths that we have come to know through study of God's word. The fossil record does speak if you are truly listening.
Modern-type humans, with the capacity to reason, plan, invent, build on previous knowledge and use complex languages, appear suddenly in the fossil record. Gould, in his book The Mismeasure of Man, notes: “We have no evidence for biological change in brain size or structure since Homo sapiens appeared in the fossil record some fifty thousand years ago.
Similarly, the book Origins admits: “As we move farther along the path of evolution towards humans the going becomes distinctly uncertain, again owing to the paucity of fossil evidence. Science magazine adds: “The primary scientific evidence is a pitifully small array of bones from which to construct man’s evolutionary history. One anthropologist has compared the task to that of reconstructing the plot of War and Peace with 13 randomly selected pages.
Just how sparse is the fossil record regarding “ape-men”? Note the following. Newsweek: “‘You could put all the fossils on the top of a single desk,’ said Elwyn Simons of Duke University. The New York Times: “The known fossil remains of man’s ancestors would fit on a billiard table. That makes a poor platform from which to peer into the mists of the last few million years. Science Digest: “The remarkable fact is that all the physical evidence we have for human evolution can still be placed, with room to spare, inside a single coffin! . . . Modern apes, for instance, seem to have sprung out of nowhere. They have no yesterday, no fossil record. And the true origin of modern humans—of upright, naked, toolmaking, big-brained beings—is, if we are to be honest with ourselves, an equally mysterious matter.
(Psalm 139:14) . . .I shall laud you because in a fear-inspiring way I am wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, As my soul is very well aware.

Your question shows an honest curiousity. Though humans and apes share the same ancestors, there are differences. It's easy to let the similarities convince you that no differences are present. Once one learns how to see the differences, you see them immediately.

And in fact, the skeletons of modern humans and modern apes still look remarkably similar, all things considered.

We are only beginning to truly understand our relationship with our earthly ancestors. This is a very exciting time! Keep observing!

The phrase, "Ontogeny recapitulate biologony" applies here.
It means that God created evolution for spirits who are rising out of hell and away from lucifer and back to Heaven, are incarnated in these physical bodies to progress.
It begins in the simple one cell animal, with one amino acid and advances through all stages of progress until they reach the highest animal on earth, man.
The human contains 150 amino acids, and the ape contains 149 amino acids. But this does not mean that man descended from the ape, but that the spirit level of progress is closely related to the man from the ape. It is the same spirit with a different body constantly progressing upward in evolution. At the human level, mankind can learn intellectually for the first time in their progress, of God and of Christ, the first Son of God.

So just because someone says that they are human bones, that makes it true? Because it is a scientist saying it makes it true? They are bones. That is the ONLY thing that they are sure of.

Some of the oldest bones are ape bones.

However it you look at Cro-Magnon man or Neandertal man they are human and they do not deviate beyond skull types that are found today.

I understand your question, but I think you mean to say, the bones of the oldest human anscestor, the bones in question are not of Homo Sapiens Sapien, a modern human.
