My family lets us chose what religion we become (if we become anything). My oldest sister (who is 18 years older than me) became Catholic. She used to be very active and went to church every week, anywho, she met a Jewish man, and they got married. When I was 18 I decided I wanted to become Pagan, I looked at other religions and Paganism just fit me. She came over and tried to convert me saying I was going to hell and I shouldn't do stuff in the devils name. And I got mad at her and said "Well if you're such a good Christian why did you marry a Jew?" (she didn't marry the guy for love, she was 28 and still lived with my parents, she wanted out). Needless to say she got kinda mad at me and stopped talking to me. Was I wrong in saying that? I mean it may have been a little harsh, but it's not like I go around saying 'hey look at me I'm the best because I'm pagan' Why can't she just be happy for me instead of trying to guilt me into being Christian? Has anyone had experiences like this?

Just wondering. Apparently, "the smoke of their torment" rises forever and ever, and you'll get to smell it, whenever you want. Does this sit right with you? If I were up in heaven, and say, one of my kids were tossed in hell, I'd leave heaven and go to hell to comfort my child. How about you?

Shouldn't their questions be in Philosophy- a category of Humanities- which is what they believe in? Even Buddhism which is considered a kind of atheism is definitely a religion.

Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." John 14:6 Why then do Muslims accept what Mahammed said, and not what Jesus said? There can only be one truth.

If your partner was caught cheating by a friend and that friend told you what they saw. And then you asked your partner if it was true and they said it didn't happen, only one of them is telling the truth. They both can't be true.

As Jesus is the only living God to say we have to go through Him to get to God, then everyone else (who are dead) is lying.

Does anyone else think that the Wiccan Rede/Crede's "an it harm none, do what ye will" and the law of Karma are just ways that they try to stop people from doing black magic? I dont, but I think thats what theyre for. I use "an it harm none, do what ye will, and it cause harm, do what ye must"

I ask you with total respect. Not because of what you believe, but because I treat others as I wish to be treated, it is never worth it to get you upset. If you can take it, and not feel offended! Thank you for your responses in advance. If not spare your feeling, and stop reading now.

I asked the Atheist many questions about how and why they ask those type questions that is related to God and religion. The questions were about their view of religion, not one specific religion. Yet, the Atheists made the assumption those questions were about one religion. Ever wondered why?
or, is it that is all you think about? Do you think that the Christians are the only people who believe in God? They are not. For those who are supposed to be in touch with reality! you seem to lack it in that area when it comes to religion. Or, is it just for Christianity?

The logical question then is: What can I do to become saved? With all of the information I have learned concerning salvation, I know that the answer must be: I cannot do anything. Salvation is entirely the work of God. I am entirely dependent upon God's sovereign mercy to choose me and pay for my sins and make me a new creature in Christ. I must patiently wait upon the mercy of God.

Is there no hope for me? Well, in fact, there is great hope. It is entirely possible that I, too, despite the enormous sins I have committed, could be one of those who are chosen by God to become saved. And because I have learned that the environment that God has established for saving His elect is the hearing of the Word of God, I want to read and listen to the Bible as much as possible.

Remember what the Bible says in Romans 10:17:

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

every church on earth 2day is run by Satan u can no longer become saved in a church.

I would say that my favourite hymn...if I had to pick just one...it would be Amazing Grace. I know that is quite generic, but I love that song. God Bless.

FOR CATHOLICS ONLY: I just wanted some general information on the Blessed Heart of Mary. We've all seen the stained glass windows in the church with her arms held out and her heart shining. What is the purpose of the Blesed Heart?

The reason I ask is because I was with a non-Catholic friend yesterday and we were browsing an antique store. We came across a beautiful picture of the Blessed Heart of Mary with a dagger through it. My friend asked what the picture was and I promptly responded, "That's Mary and her most Blessed Heart." When asked why there was a dagger through her heart, I was unable to reply. Can anyone tell me the story behind this? How did Mary's "Blessed Heart" come about, and why is it so important?

To those of you who believe in a fallen church, how is it possible that God allowed his church to become so corrupted? Was it the devil's doing, part of God's plan to restore his church, or simply bad human beings?

Wouldn't the better argument for free will and choosing a Godly life be if there WASN'T eternal damnation looming as the alternative? Wouldn't a more sublime arrangement have no apparent negative consequences for rejecting God so that those actually choosing to beleive in Him would be making an uncoerced decision for the purest of reasons?
