3 years ago, when I was still a minor, I stole something. I have recently become a Christian, and am struggling to figure out whether or not I should confess to this crime. Or maybe, I was thinking I could just pay the person back anonymously. If I confessed, I would lose my job, as I am required to have background checks every so often, and theft, even a misdemenor, is cause for them to let me go.

I have gotten many great answers from this community (under a different name, I'm reserved about this subject), especially on the subject of christianity. In fact, when I was searching for Him, it was from many of your answers that led me where I needed to be. So now, I hope I hear some good advice, it has been on my mind for a while

thanks

There was one that lived under our basement stairs. I was terrified of it and wouldn't go down there for anything. He was always waiting to grab your feet through the spaces between the steps. When I got older I realized the monster was imaginary and the fear vanished. There was nothing under the steps but a few cobwebs.
Knowing the ability of the human imagination to cause something to seem real, don't you think there may be other imaginary beings you may have been holding on to?

There is nothing up in the sky but air.

If it to believed that your Light is the Son of God who created all things, would He keep a good Human, who did not believe, out of Heaven?

what about all of the other matter in the universe? where in the hell did that all come from? are there any scientific theories on that? the big bang doesn't say that matter was created...crazy. my mind is on fire.

do religious people think that god created all of this matter just for fun?

Bible prophecy "experts" are daily saying that we are in the last days, really?

Last days?...................Really?

I have been listening to doom messages for years. The world might a little more dangerous in the post 9-11-2001 years but I do not see the end of life as we know it any time soon.

Your view?

If many Buddhists are more Christ-like than Christians, is that enough to save their soul? Or do they have to believe that Jehovah sent his son as a blood sacrifice to atone for the original sin of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden?

Christians. Free will you say? We all have free will and we either choose God or we don't. Right? Okay. So then tell me this, what made YOU choose God and an atheist NOT choose God? Explain to me how one chooses and one doesn't. The ONLY POSSIBLE explanation is that those who choose are born with the genetic leaning towards religioous belief (genetic makeup w/ a predispostion to believing in a higher power) and environmental influences (neighborhood, parents, etc.) If these are not the factors that determine how one "chooses" God... please explain what made you able to choose him and what makes some one else UNABLE to choose him. Doesn't there have to be SOMETHING that seperates you from those who don't believe? Think before you answer please. I'm begging you. Please. THINK!!!

P.S. Again, I am a Christian who does not want to hide behind weak justifications that don't make sense. I want REAL answers to life's hardest questions.

You read about how moses split a lake in half then closed it up with his cane and how Jesus walked on water and came back to life after his death. Why don't these phenomenal miracles happen anymore now that we have technology and could undeniably put the issue to rest? Is it because these people were fooled into believing something that was simply a magic trick? Chris Angel does amazing things that are unexplainable today, but we don't call him a prophet.

Some might say miracles DO happen today. They will point to medical miracles like people getting better from sickness. However I'm talking about the real undeniable miracles that happened in the bible such as what moses did. Some of them like turning water to wine have already been confirmed to be simple magic tricks.
