We were in my friends pool, when this shadow thing appeared, and we felt like someone was watching us. The next day. at my house, we felt the same thing at the end of my driveway. This only happens when it starts to get dark. If anyone has a spell (im Wiccan) or something to get rid of it or some sort of herb to burn (not basil, i tried it). If you are going to either say im crazy or pretending or say Wicca is evil, I wil report you. And please, no religous suggestions, I am not Christian.

... always wearing hats!!!

anyway, heres the thing, i used to call myself an atheist because i didn't believe in "god". but then i thought about it and it wasn't that i didn't believe that there was possibly a creator, it was that i didn't believe in the whole bible, god, Mary, donkeys etc etc or any religion for that matter. so i see myself as more of an agonist really. and i use the term " THE CREATOR" very loosely. like I'm pretty sure its not watching down on us or bringing us Christmas prezzies or anything. probably doesn't even know its created us.

anyway.. after talking with friends i found a few atheists felt the same way and i was wondering, do atheists really deny the possibility of a creator or just the religious gods etc..

the way i see it is..
us understanding "god" is like a fish in London understanding president bush, the chances of a fish figuring it out is quite slim. and a fishes guess is probably pretty lame.

Or are you gonna stand firm in your faith in Jesus Christ?
1 Chronicles 19:13
Be strong and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The LORD will do what is good in his sight."

Did you ever gossip? Did you think it was unfair, after doing it? Do you consider it to be a sin? Is there anything specific about gossip in the bible?

I know most of you believe that it is not a sin. But I would like to hear from the ones that do what to do when you catch your kids/teens masturbating. Don't bother posting "it's not a sin because or it is a sin because." We've heard the arguments.

How should they be punished?

Do you think you can get them to stop?

Exclusions: Don't tell me the story of how Satan rebelled, rejected God, etc. Thats not my question.

My question is why God allows a semi-god to create all the world's evil. Christians always seem to overlook this glaring continuity error in their story.

Are they equally powerful? What other excuse could there be for allowing Satan to operate?

Say someone is, for the most part, a good human being. Decent to others & to the environment around them. Empathetic, kind, generous, etc.

This person, also, does not actually believe in the Christian God. They're either agnostic or atheist. Or, maybe they are pantheistic, humanist, wiccan, whatever. They actually *don't* accept Jesus Christ as their personal lord & savior.

But, they say the words, "I accept Jesus Christ, etc.", even though they are not true. They truly don't believe that God exists or they are not convinced that God exists. They say the words anyway.

Now, with only that one lie in their life as a 'sin', do they still get into heaven?

Does God just want you to say it, whether it's true or not?

To give the non-belief in GOD any merit in this country?
I say this because many Atheists were kicked to the curb so to speak with any desire they had in eliminating GOD....socially or politically..

Isn't it the growth of Radical Islam the failure of the War in Iraq and the Homosexual Political Agenda that gives Atheism a platform which to speak? (Dawkins)

Madeline O'Hare tried for years to become a force to be reckoned with as an Atheist in every facet of life, in eliminating GOD which she failed misreably, and was killed for greed and political gain from her own kind.

Aren't these the only issues that truly gave you a voice now a days?

A) Is the defining point of when someone describes "macro" evolution the point when it can no longer breed with its root species?

B) Why do people ask about Evolution in R&S so much?

Okay. "Religous gene" is just a term for lack of a better one, but I saw a 20/20 special that suggested religous people may have certain genetic traits which allow them to believe in a higher power, when in actuality there is No God at all.

It would seem to make sense from a LOGICAL (there goes the word again) standpoint. NATURE desires for humans to live and procreate, plain and simple, and thus by promoting a trait that encourages us to want to live (in the hopes of an afterlife and that other good stuff) nature wins. Not saying it's true. Just saying it makes one think.

Any Christian dare to think about this for more than five seconds without crawling back to the safety of simply ignoring it?

P.S. - I'm a Christian. Just one that's willing to think. (Yes, we do exist.)

why non-muslims are so bothered because muslims girls look like Mary? yeah they were hijab on their hair, and if you go to your church and meditate in Mary's pictures there, you will notice how she shares the decent clothes with muslim girls, you just say you love her, but we muslim girls love her and make her our example, so we wear hijab, but you do not like it and mak some rules against our freedom and ban hijab in some places......again, we sooo bothered?!!!!!

if Mary (peace be upon her lives in this age, would you also compell her to take off the veil she wears in church pictures?!

:)

America is the only country that circumcises young boys for non-religious reasons. The circumcision rate is huge compared to the rest of the world. Jewish and Muslim people do it for religious reasons, but not all of America is Jewish and Muslim. Why does America practice this so much and practice it for non-religious reasons?

Ask Me How You Can Be Assured Of Heaven

2007-08-20 09:31:29 · 10 answers · asked by Anonymous

I don't know much of anything about the faith of Jehovah's Witnesses so I can't come to a clear sense of what is going on here. One day at work I noticed my coworker was "different". It wasn't a different behavior, or altered body language, it was something else that I picked up on. I didn't quite understand it myself so I figured "oh, intuition". So, I asked him if he was ok. He turned to me and looked at me like I had caught him doing something he wasn't supposed to and answered, "yeah why?" I said out of concern, "oh you just seem different I wanted to make sure you were alright". He gathered up his things and on his way out the door he said "I don't LIKE it when people know me like that". Not trying to sound dumb but is there maybe something in his teaching that says that a persons intuition is bad? It kind of freaked me out because he got so freaked out about it. This has happened with other people and they took it quite well and actually confided in me with their "issue".
