Spark 8118....Thank you for sharing...You are right that it lasts a lifetime..Just this morning...My husband snuck up on me as a joke...startled me...I went right back to how I fealt as a child..It does not go away...i am 46 years old...I refuse to be influanced by my childhood, but it will always be a part of me...i wonder what kind of a person i would be, without the abuse....Joy in my life has to be fought for, it does not come naturally. as for those who think that spell checking me is funny, i have no way to check my spelling..and..anyone who can not spell a word more ways than one, lacks creativity!

dearest sister:)
I read your post and felt my heart breaking into a thousand pieces. It truly shows us that there is no reality of God in the cult of the JW's. After reading the post i felt so sad in my being for all the ones who suffer and continue to suffer under that kind of prison. I looked into some of the articles that you posted and want to thank you for putting the link up for us to know how to pray for so many that are suffering there. May the Lord powerfully rescue many out of this cult sister.. any of your family and friends that are bound by them. Oh Lord Jesus...this pain is just so much... seems almost unbearable when you consider your own children. I read the articles and I cannot help but to see my own two daughters being placed in a position like that. To think of those who actually live a life after going through that kind of experience takes the real deep grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and His healing power.
May the Lord be the Sun of Righteousness with healing in His Wings.. May the LOrd Jesus Hover over many and heal them of their pains and past. May the Lord continue His thorough work in your life my sweet sister...
Forever your sister

I was molested by a neighbor when I was a little girl and I can tell you that he did not call in 2 other people to witness. The church should not have any say so in the matter. This should be for the local police to handle. The perpetrator needs to go to prison.

Unbelievable. This leaves me shocked and saddened. Someday children will be safe from evil men. To think that any religious group would protect ANY person that would do such a thing to a child is unspeakable! It's time for these people to stop hiding behind their God and start taking responsibility for their actions. These are children's lives! The impact such an act leaves on a child's soul is incurable, it leaves a constant scar on their soul and on their heart. They constantly have to live with the nightmares and the fear. I'm sickened by this. Such actions are inexcusable, unforgivable, and abominable. I could go on ALL day about this. And to want a WITNESS???? Are you KIDDING me??? No one ever caught my father red handed, I had to testify in that court and it was his word against mine. These sickos do these things in private, because they KNOW what they are doing is wrong and they feel guilty. There are never any witnesses. That rule is utter BULLOX!

Yes it needs to stop but satan runs the watchtower so unfortunately it won't, but God will have Judgment! My heart goes out to you Sister! Someone VERY close to me had similar experiences growing up in the watchtower organization. This issue is VERY close to me as well. Luckily like you, she is no longer a JW but is a born again Christian!
You have hope beyond measure. You'll be given a new body and all your bad memories will be erased. Just look at Isaiah 65 or 66. Praise God!
Keep fighting the good fight Sister! You have victory!

There is no reason for your comment. It just shows the intent of your heart. You're a cold, hard hearted, spiritually dead, God hating person. You should show compassion for these victims and instead you wish to silence them. You need to repent of your ways and religion. You need to do your homework on the watchtower and then hopefully you'll find the Truth. Don't go to hell!
Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Matt. 12:34

since pedophiles and other abusers go to great lengths to keep from being found out how is a little child supposed to find any witnesses?
that is an insane policy, and it promotes a code of silence that is unreal. who wrote those laws? perhaps the people who wrote it did so on purpose.
oppressed of spirit??!! if anyone could claim that it would be the victims of the abuse not the abusers. sick minds hiding behind religious dogma.
sorry about the rant, but i feel strongly about this subject as well.

I agree with the elder that wrote that letter.
Most victim of sexual abuse don't even have a secound victim to prove that they are telling the truth. Sexual molesters should be known to the public. It must stop. It should not be silenced. If I was in that elder's shoes I would have resigned also.

This is an especially horrible policy in light of the fact that with modern DNA testing and a simple exam, molestation can be proven outright.
I'm very sorry you had to suffer at the hands of those sickos. I would support anyone who could get simple pamphlets to all those girls telling them exactly how to report such incidents to the PROPER authorities immediately.

All Jehovah's Witness Elders and Ministerial Servants need to know this, you are both Mandated Reporters in the State of California. "Clergy members means a priest, minister, rabbi, religious practitioner, or similar functionary of a church, temple, or recognized religious denomination or organization. (P.C. 11166 (c))." You have to report within 36 hours of first learning of suspected child abuse. There is a section on -- Guidelines to Determine Reasonable Suspicion. For Elders and Ministerial Servants who live outside of the State of California, it is important to know you local laws. To determine the laws where you live, just Google it with your state and child abuse laws. Did you know -- "Liability: Legally mandated reporters can be criminally liable for failing to report suspected abuse. The penalty for this misdemeanor is up to six months in county jail, a fine of not more than $1,000 or both. Mandated reporters can also be civilly liable for failure to report." "Immunity: Any legally mandated reporter has immunity when making a report. In the event a civil suit is filed against the reporter, reimbursement for fees incurred in the suit will occur up to $50,000 (P.C. Section 11172). No individual can be dismissed, disciplined or harassed for making a report of suspected child abuse." I can tell you, it sometimes can be a tough decision to make to report a family when you suspect there is child abuse but as my supervisor would tell me, it is not up to us to prove it true or not -- Child Procective Services and/or specially trained police officers will determine this. I can tell you this from my experience from working with CPS, they take their job seriously, they do NOT go on a whim and take children out of their homes. They work to keep families together if possible, if children are removed it is because these children have been in serious risk.

How about we stop the molestation instead?
If that isn't reasonable, then how about the cult of JWs?
Regardless, I'm wouldn't support protecting sick bastards with some 2 witness rule. Who do you know of that molested people in front of two other people? How ridiculous.

Any claim like this, by the young or the old, should be referred to the local law enforcement authorities.
The JWs are skirting the law if they do not. If they really want to "clean up the congregation" this is how it should start.
The witness of DNA and other damage is easily shown by today's methods.
Peace to you - T2T
If JWs believe the bible - DNA and such should be enough "witness" for them !!!It was for God Almighty!!! Genesis 4:10&11 (NWT):
