Say someone is, for the most part, a good human being. Decent to others & to the environment around them. Empathetic, kind, generous, etc.

This person, also, does not actually believe in the Christian God. They're either agnostic or atheist. Or, maybe they are pantheistic, humanist, wiccan, whatever. They actually *don't* accept Jesus Christ as their personal lord & savior.

But, they say the words, "I accept Jesus Christ, etc.", even though they are not true. They truly don't believe that God exists or they are not convinced that God exists. They say the words anyway.

Now, with only that one lie in their life as a 'sin', do they still get into heaven?

Does God just want you to say it, whether it's true or not?

OK - the lie is not their 'only' sin, but it is their only *intentional* sin - the only one that they leave uncorrected in their life. (If you figure sin = any mistake that you make that harms someone else or that is considered morally 'wrong').

In order to be saved, you have to repent of all your sins, believe in Jesus Christ, that he came and died for our sins , and ask God to forgive you your sins. You have to have this in your heart, because God looks in your heart, He don't just lesson to the words, he knows if you really mean what you say., and if you do ,he will by His grace forgive you.

No one is going to heaven, in fact God is coming down to earth with His Kingdom, to be with His people. Rev. 21.

Hahaha I love these questions. Ar you going to heaven because you're good? NO, YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IN JESUS, MORON! YOU CAN'T JUST BE GOOD, YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT JESUS, READ THE BIBLE, SEE IT SAYS HERE YOU HAVE TO LOVE HIM!!!! HA HA YOU'RE GOING TO HELL UNBELIEVERS!!!! Man, I gotta tell you, you're god realy sounds like a jerk! "You can only come to eternal bliss if you validate my son's and my existance. Humph!" ps. Jesus could have been made up, or his life exaggerated to fit certian prophesies to give the people hope and have them be better people because of it. That's the beauty of already knowing the prophesies and then getting the chance to write the NT after Jesus has been dead for a century or so, you get to pick and choose what you write about! I really doubt that any caring god will only accept those who believe in his son, I doubt he could send any good person, believer or not, straight to the torments of your Christian hell. I think Christianity has a lot of merits as a religion, but it's just the condemning everyone else to hell that gets to me. Sure YOU may think the rest of us are going there, but I have a theory, I think that if there is a heaven, if there is and all powerful, all knowing god, he will accept the rest of us non-believers just as his own children because odds are he's a nice guy.

Get a Bible concordance and look up the meaning of "believe". It is the gospel, which is repentance, baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remissionof sins, and the infilling of the holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in an unknown language. This is our ticket into the kingdom of God. Anything else is heresy.

Our "good" works in the flesh mean nothing to God and have nothing to do with salvation. Those whom God has called will be saved, by His grace, mercy and love. No one will truly confess that Jesus is Lord except they be given the faith to believe from God and are indwelt with the Spirit. One unforgiven sin is enough the bring eternal punishment.

1Co 12:3 Because of this I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, Jesus is a curse. And no one is able to say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.

The whole idea of there being 1 religion that is supremely correct and everyone else is denied entrance to heaven is perhaps the most twisted, self-centered, and delusional meme to have entered the human consciousness. Its a tribal extension and nothing more. No human on earth, no tribe, no book created by these human forces is inherently divine.

I'm very happily agnostic, not a Christian any longer. But I completely relate. I CAN'T believe in god the way Christians believe in god. I just can't see the logic in Christianity (I tried! I was a Christian for over 20 years).

Not that I believe in hell but many Christians say I'm doomed to hell. I'm sorry but I just can't say, "I believe". Because no matter how many times I say it, it's a lie to me.

I just wonder what Christians would say to people who think exactly like I do (and I'm sure there are many). Because I'm sorry, i just can't MAKE myself believe in it. It's not logical.

1 sin = Hell unless you accept Christ.

And besides, do you know all that IS a sin? I find the notion of someone only committing 1 sin and being a good person laughable.

We are all sinners(romans 3:23) and Jesus is the only way to heaven(John 14:6). We all have sinns.

To be honest, most preachers don't believe unless they are mentally deranged.
Religion is just a money making cult and nobody in their right mind can believe that crap!
