Not a whole lot. In praying one has uses an imaginary objective at which prayers are directed (god or gods) while in making a wish there is not necessarily an imaginary objective although there could be as in wishing upon a star (or some other percieved magical object - rabbit's foot for example).

We shouldn't wish for anything, who are you wishing to?
Praying we are asking God, the Master, Our Father, the one and only can can do anything about our wants and needs.
God has plans for all of us, and when we Pray to our Father you can be sure The Lord is listening, and if it is in His will, then our prayers will be granted, if it goes against His plans, only God knows what is best for us.

Wishing is having the desire for something and hoping you will get it.
Praying is having a desire and asking God through prayer for it.
A wish is based on the chance that you will get it and a Prayer is talking to God and having faith in him that he will answer your prayer. You can wish upon a star or you can say a prayer to God. One will help you and one won't.

Praying is a direct appeal to a higher power of some sort'wishing is merely a longing or hoped-for resolution. There is no comparison.

Praying is giving your life up to God, raising your hands and saying I love you I praise you, I believe in you, and sometimes, help me get throught this. Wishing is just idle wants and pleasures that we desire...daydreams and random thoughts that we may neither have worked for or deserve.

Praying is NOT about >> God give me this or that, God I need this or that. Prayer is NOT begging. He already knows your needs.. You don`t have to beg for them..
Praying is talking with God. Having conversation, listening. It is communing with the source. It is NOT, I repeat NOT begging..
