Three wise men are following a star through the desert. The star stops over a little village and begins to shine brightly on a barn behind a small inn. Why do you all refer to christians as catholics. There are many other religions. You don't have to refer to me by my personal religion but try to use a different term like christians.

If you can’t criticize religion unless you are a religious scholar, then you shouldn't accept religion unless you're a religious scholar?

Because deity knows, we don't want to be professing knowledge in any field unless we're certified experts in the subject.

i'm really confused here. i went to my best friend's christian day camp thing this summer because he invited me. i'm jewish, but still, i couldv learned something new. turns out that i really didn't learn anything i didnt know already, but something totally confused me. christians, jews and catholics believe the same thing (if im correct) : there is only one God. its the first commandment, i believe. well, then why at this camp, did they say that and then start talking about how jesus is the one to please and obey? i mean, everyone says theres one God, but then thats what they were calling jesus! I thought he was God's son!! im so confused. can someone please just make sense out of this??

This is something new to me, and has saddened me for the past few hours. I had no idea there was this kind of counter attack to both "Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron's" positive attribution to the ministry of Jesus Christ.
To see the video testimonies on Youtube of people trying to damn themselves to hell is just so...not sure exactly how to respond to this.

My husband is in the army and he has gone oversea for at least 6 months, we have identical twin 8 week old girls and they were baptised Catholics, my husbands family did not come to the wedding or to the Christianing, they are Baptists.
Since my husband left, his mother and sisters have been ringing me and telling my girls are the devils spawn, and they will go to hell, because all Catholics do, and his mother said she was going to take the girls off me because I am raising them in the wrong Church, I cannot contact my husband also I don't want to worry him

How do I handle this, I don't believe I am doing anything wrong but I can't convince them that being a Catholic is not evil and that we are Christians and believe in the same God

Can you offer some advice in how I can approach them and make them understand that being a Catholic is not wrong and to leave me to live my life the way I want and raise my girls in a Christian home?

I have no family on my side

Muslim men have cut & pasted stats here to stress their claim that women in the West are raped more because we "aren't modest," & we show our bare elbows & kneecaps in summer. I need to make a few things clear in response ...

1. Up-to-date stats on criminal activity in the US & Canada are readily available,so it's easy to cut & paste them to here,

2. Islamic countries DON'T recognize rape or sexual assault as a crime so stats aren't kept on this heinous offence & even if they were, the information wouldn't be considered important enough to keep updated.

3. Rape in the West OR Mid East doesn't happen due to lack of modesty!

RAPE IS A CRIME OF MEN CLAIMING POWER OVER WOMEN, IT'S NOT ABOUT SEX!

IT'S TO DONE TO DEGRADE, HUMILIATE & HURT WOMEN, NOT TO GET YOUR X OFF!

Muslims are raped too. Modesty, is over-rated.

READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY AND THEN ANSWER-You say your God knows all, so before creating Adam and Eve he knew they would sin, and in turn on Judgement Day Billions of people would be sent to hell and would get tortured for the rest of eternity.(many peaceful people are not Christians eg. 1 Billion Hindus, 600 million + Buddhists etc.)
So is your God such a entity who knows that at some point Of time would create a creation Whose many(billions) of Sons he knows in advance will suffer eternal pain.
Would he create a creation for whom he knows
one day HIS OWN SON JESUS WILL SUFFER very much.

No human father would create a ROBOT if he knew in advance that the ROBOT would torture his son.(In context to the fact GOD creating humans while knowing humans would torture his son JESUS one day)
Why Not Create A Creation Which Was As Perfect As Him (GOD)

Atleast I know that no KIND HUMAN BEING if granted the ability to create would create a creation whom he knows he would have to torture in the future.(In context to the fact GOD creating Human race while knowing in advance that many humans would be tortured in Hell).
Tell me would you give birth to your child if you know in advance that when he grows up he will be a mass murder and a danger to society and that one day you would have to kill him?
Kind Parents punish their children again and again when they make mistakes and do not allow them Free will to commit sin for his entire Life and in the end throw them into a pit of fire.

This is why I get sick and tired of people on here!

I just got a notice for a best answer, so I was looking at the others that mine was up against and it was about "when do you think the world will end" and one answer said....get this..."12/21/12....it's in the bible"

Does it get you angry, even if you don't believe in the bible, to see people make blatent lies like that, not out of humor or sarcasm, but out of ignorance?

And not only about the bible, but any book or movie saying "Oh evolution says we came from monkies" or other things like that?

The parents are complaining and trying to push the schools for financial money to get DNA testing. We can't afford this! And the kiddies? Oh, the kiddies! They hear the word "lolly" and they run so far from home we find them in other countries sometimes!

How do you know I am a liar? Muhammd never tested the spirit with which he spoke as the word of God instructs us to do and this spirit disagreed with the word of God and the prophets of God, this spirit claimed to be Gabriel but disagreed with what Gabriel says in the Bible.
The Bible says to test a spirit to see if it is from God and Muhamamd did not. How do Muslims test a spirit?

things have a physical level of existence but what about ideas?
for an idea to exist does it need just one person to think of it?
can an idea (god) exist beyond the people who believe in it?
think of whatever you want to...it exists now as an idea (in your mind) but if you didnt think of it , would it have ever existed???
would it have existed as a possibility waiting for someone to make it exist by thinking of it? or it just exists from the moment someone thinks of it and therefore its existence is just "created" by whoever thinks it?

Do people who use this word even know what it means? Most of the heavily inbred people these days are actually fundamentalists in very small sects of Christianity, because they wouldn't dare breed with someone outside their religion.
