Oh Hell YEAH! Satan was an Angel of God in Heaven, perfect and most beautiful. After He deceived Eve He was still going in and out of the Heavens freely
That is shown by the conversation in Job 1:1-12. So He was still in until the Christ has proved Himself faithful to the death.
Then with the Heavenly Resurrection of the Christ, He Jesus threw the Old Serpent, the Original sinner the dragon out of the Heavenly Realm for ever REVELATION chapter 12: verses 7,8,9,10, and 12 and 13. Satan is finally hurled from Heaven for ever.
Satan HAD and still has free will. All Gods creatures do. that is why 1/3rd of the angels chose to freely follow Satan instead of God. You and I have free will also, what we do with that determines if our names are written in GODS book of Life or not!

Wasn't the devil thrown out of heaven? Or did he decide to leave on his own? I suppose that is the ultimate blasphemy to want to leave heaven after you got in. Can you imagine rejecting God after you met him and knew for sure he was real? I think this is related to the Christian concept of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

Once in heaven there's no free will. But you won't care because you'll be spiritually lobotomized so that you will be content and won't even miss your loved ones who didn't make it.

I think anyone who is fortunate enough to get into heaven, wants to be there and they worked hard to get there during their life on Earth. I don't think they will want to be anywhere else.

I think you would almost have to be able to opt out in eternity, if you were able to opt in during life.

If you were predestined though, wouldn't you be saved from eternity, to eternity, wanting to serve Him forever?

It will not even enter your mind to want or desire it. If we do not care to do so now after we have been saved, how much less in glory?
