I thought he was God's son!! im so confused. can someone please just make sense out of this??

Christians believe in One God - the God who revealed Himself to Moses at the burning bush by the Name - the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
We believe this One God exists as three eternal, equal persons in accordance with the revelation brought to us through Jesus Christ and His Apostles. God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Three distinct yet equal Persons existing as One True Eternal God. We believe the second Person of the Trinity was incarnated - became a human being, born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit, lived a perfect, holy, sinless life, and then offered Himself up as a perfect and permanent atonement for sins when He died on the cross. We believe He was raised from the dead on the third day, all in accordance with a multitude of scriptures recorded in the Tanakh.
We believe He will return in glory and establish His earthly Kingdom in Jerusalem at which time He will fully disclose Himself to His covenant people, the Jews, and He will fulfill all the remaining prophecies concerning Messiah and He will rule and reign over the earth in a 1000 year period of peace and prosperity.
We believe we are saved through repentance and faith in His atoning sacrifice, and justified from all the things from which we could never be justifed by keeping the Law. Not because of any flaw in the Law, but because of the flaws of human nature. We then receive His Holy Spirit by faith, who puts His law in our hearts, just as the Prophets promised; and become children of God through faith in the name of Jesus (Yeshua).

Oh no, no, no. Jews, Catholics, and Protestants practice three completely different religions (despite the fact that the latter two are conventionally lumped together under the same heading). And Christians do in fact (traditionally) believe that Jesus is God. Ancient Christianity even maintained that Jesus was Yahweh in the flesh, not just a son of God. But some newer Protestant denominations lessen the Deity of Christ, and a few don't believe that he was God at all.

That is the crux of the difference between Jews, Christians, and Catholics. We all believe in the same God. Isaiah, the Jewish prophet said in Isaiah 7:14 "Look! The Virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and he will be called Immanuel (meaning God is with us.)"

Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and the only way to God is through the Son. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Light.

Catholics pray through Mary or Saints to communicate with God. They use the Pope to interpret Gods Word.

BTW, Muslims say they believe in the same God we do.
We all have our beliefs. It is confusing. But now you now the very basic of the difference between our religions.

You're correct in acknowledging that Jesus is the Son of God. However, Christians have this idea of a Holy Trinity - God the Father, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit - meaning that Jesus is somehow equal to God. That's the best way to describe it.

Yes I know how many times I have to explain Jesus was Gods son and we are also Gods Children what gets me is the Holy Spirit which is our own Soul and it goes on and on I guess maybe sometimes we are here just to straighten up all the confusion instilled in people who have been mislead.
I guess they have also loss the plot of why Jesus was here to Teach the Spiritual way as well
And why he was Crucified not for our sins but for his teachings did not fit well at the time with Religious beliefs.

Oh well with all the Spiritual awakenings going on around the world people are starting to think for themselves and search for their own truth

A open mind is a healthy mind : )

Also I want to add I am not Jewish however Jesus was the King of the Jews so therefore his teaching is what the Jews use as Guidance and wouldn't that be the closes meanings from Jesus
Am I right please correct me if I am wrong
So therefore if Jesus was the King of Jews do so many hate the Jews and not listen to what they have to share, I know so many times in History so many have tried to wipe out the Jews however they have always failed why can't they see why ?
I would say not because of their Religion however I would say because of their Spiritual assistance here on Earth is very Special : )

People only fear what they don't understand !

Love & Blessings

I think many people are confused on this topic. God is God the Father. Jesus is God's Son, and the Holy Spirit is the comforter. They all are as one not that they are one person with split personalities. They all have the same goal, and thats to see the lost saved. They work toward the same goal in different ways. There is a scripture I wished I could think of some of it so I could look it up to quote to you. It says something like Jesus is the one to worship. Now thats in my words. God wants all glory to go to Jesus. Maybe someone can think of it and quote it for you.

People get very passionate about answering these types of questions...

I went to a christian school for most of my schooling and I dont really have much knowledge about jewish religion but from what I have learned, jesus is god son, jesus is not god.

Basically, I learned that Christians pray to God and Catholics pray to Mary

In Genesis 18 God appeared in physical form with 2 angels and spoke with Abraham.
Christians believe God became a man again through the virgin birth of Mary, and that this was the promised Messiah, the Son of David.
He appeared the first time to take away sins as the suffering Servant (prophesied in the 53rd Chapter of th Prophet Isaiah).
He will come again and establish His Kingdom and rule forever on David's throne in Jerusalem, fulfilling all the words of the Jewish prophets.

I would have to look up the date, but between 325 and 381 the Catholics created the Nicene Creed. The decided that Jesus was of the same stuff as God. They also included the concept of the Holy Ghost. This is referred to as the trinity. Father, Son and holy Ghost so now instead of a truly monotheistic God they worship a trinity of Gods. Their trick to claiming they still worship just one God is to claim God has three parts. Often people refer to this as a Triune God. (latin Tri=3, une=1) OK now we have a three gods in one God.
Confused, just wait. The next thing was to make Mary Jesus mommy divine too.Because Jesus is God, Mary is God's mother, but not the mother of "God" God just the Jesus part of God. In view of this they decided that Mary needed a bit of ranking so Mary Mother of God become the Queen of heaven.
All of this seems confusing but it ties very nicely with the cults that the Christians were trying to replace. Jesus fits nicely into all the traditions of the Mithra sun worship cult. Even the birthday December 25 was made to match Mithra's.
Mary replaces the Isis cult in Rome. Isis was mother of Horus and was Queen of heaven.
Confused? OK, Anyway as much as they want to deny it the protestant faiths are descended from the Catholics and split off from them by arguments over points of doctrine. There are those who claim Jesus is God directly. There are some who believe in the trinity. They all believe that Jesus is God though.
That is what defines Christian. Not all of them believe he was actually Jewish
But that deserves another question.

People say that Jesus is god but it is not true. Some people even have bumpers stickers that say "Jesus is God, Read the Bible" but it is all wrong. The bible says that Jesus is gods only, Jesus was sent to prophecies. Jesus never claimed to be god, people get it wrong when Jesus said "I am the truth and only trough me will you inherit the father".

I like you, not allot of Jewish people would go to a christian camp.

ummm you have already got an excellent sort of solutions so i wish you're taking this one into attention... in case you have been born a Christian. ask you mum and dad why that's they raised you that way. they of course have self belief it to be real. earlier you pronounce your self agnostic or athiest, think of roughly it. have you ever felt UNcomfortable approximately being a christian? or is it purely which you probably did not sense suited approximately your particular christain church? reason there are a number of. even however all of us say we are christian, a lot of human beings have self belief very countless issues. i'm a christian. i think in Christ. i think in God. i think that my church is the real church. i think gentle approximately it. each and every thing I learn sounds suited. I under no circumstances question it because of the fact I purely understand that's suited. i understand the place I got here from, and the place i am going and what my household projects are right here. i understand those form of issues. according to risk you purely seem around in another christian faiths. see what yet another church has to grant. i think of if thoroughly bypass off beam, you will sense a void on your life.. according to risk that's what your feeling now. ?? btw, Christianity isn't a synthetic faith. the bible grew to become into written not in straight forward terms by utilising adult adult males, yet by utilising prophets, and apostles, and disciples. that's almost completely precise (through many translations, there is a few blunders), it wasn't purely written by utilising some guy on the line that made up memories. so because it is my suggestion.. seem around at another christain faiths... good success. i wish you stumble on what you opt for. p.s. moonlight_is_harmoni.. (i think of) had fairly good suggestion. so did the guy a pair solutions up that noted public college. p.p.s. do not pay attention to those that say "quit looking.. the real church is lengthy previous" that's not lengthy previous that's right here! save looking and you will discover the real church. I promise. p.p.p.s. sorry. i don't recommend to sound so "pontificate"y. i actually hate that. yet yeah. there ya bypass. sorry! one final ingredient... purely pray. fairly pray and somebody will pay attention and assist you out. if it does not paintings the 1st time purely save attempting and function persistence. you will get an answer.
