Right now it's hard to decide for me. It feels like a curse but I guess I think of it as a blessing because way way back in time before women were considered weak we were considered to have an important part in the world because we had the ability to give birth. We were seen as creators back when men and women were equal. Pagans thought this and so they saw the gods and goddesses as equal.
Why do you feel it is a blessing or curse and what is your religion?
I'm pagan.

I knew a few people who didnt believe in God, but lived their life correctly, not harming others, being understanding, helping the ones in need - and yet, if you asked them, they'd say it is no real use, you won't get to Heaven (since they didnt blieve there is one) and also, there is no punishment if you do harm other people. I've been wondering, what makes non believers follow social and moral rules? Usually it is the church that gives us the fear that, if we harm others, we will pay. I wonder what is the motivation for being good to others and altruist for someone who dosent believe in God. If you are one of those people, please tell me your point of view

I have heard rumors that the company, Burt's Bees, which makes lip balm, skin care, sunblocks and other skin products, are somehow deeply involved in the occult, such as Wiccan or other witchcraft related practices, but have been unable to find any definite confirmation at their website or elsewhere on the web. Does anyone have any definite indications, web references, etc., to prove or disprove this rumor. Snopes.com has no info on this one.

Christians should know who their forefathers were when they joined their religion and why they believe what they do. The Waldensians were persecuted by the Church during that time and killed for preaching the word of God without the Church's permission to do so, only the clergy could interpret the bible. But in that, the church suggested that salvation was by penitence, according to what they made believe about purgatory. 'PAY and BE SAVED'. So sad... Christians don't know about this, they haven't heard of who the Waldensians are. How can we not have heard about these people that went through a lot during the middle ages and have them for non-existent? They could set an example for us today, in the modern world... couldn't they?

Let's say I wrote a ridiculous book while having a chemically induced "vision quest", and I bury it in a cave. I sober up, and go on about my life and forget about it.

1,625 years from now, it is discovered by future humans. They think it is some holy text. Naturally, it has not "changed", aside from the elements and time affecting the integrity of the pages.

They regard my deluded writings as some sort of "truth", and begin a cult based on it, fused with choice beliefs of a few other established cults.

Does this make my book the "truth" simply because they want it to be, and because this book is relatively new and unaltered?

It doesn't matter it will not change anyone's mind. What they believe is in their mind already and it will not change unless they want it to. Believe in your own thing and leave others alone. Go to church or don't go to church. Your belief is your choice!

I'm just confused, and want to know a couple of things.
What do you believe happens to you after you die?
Do you really hate christians, or just the ones who pressure beliefs onto you?
Do you ever feel burdened by things you have done?

Just a couple of questions I have been curious about, thanks for the answers!

By the way, the title is not meant to be rude in any way.

What do you know about Mandala(m), Chakra(m) and all that when you do not know the difference amongst –Paalam(1)—Paalam(2)—Bhalam—Baalam and all that? Your ancestors and you are practicing a Good Religion for the past 2000 years and you have Clergymen to show you the right path in your Religion for Salvation. Why do you poke your nose in some other Religion (Vaideekam-Hindu religion) mis-guided by Money Spinning Bogus Teachers and indulge in Religious practices which are outside your own Religious scope?—or do you make mockery of Religions?--if you really know anything about Mandala(m) and Chakra(m)-please translate the following?:-
“Chaturbhihi Srikantaihi Siva Yauathy Panchabhirabhi
Prasannabhihi Sambhoho Navabhirabhi Moola Prakruthibhihi
Chatus Chatvarihi------Trivalaya Trirekhaabhihi”

Sri Aadhi Sankara Aacharya allots how many Chakrams to Srikanta and how many to Siva Yuvathy ? –What is Navabhirabhi-Navaavaranam? –9X5=45---but where and why he says 44?-what is Trivalayam?

Critics accuse Muslims of converting by the sword, but I've yet to recieve even a soft attempt to convert me. I have been solicited by Mormons, Jehova Witnesses, and Baptists however. I've known many Muslims, but never have they ever expressed even a passing interest at bringing me into their religion.

I personally think that there are a lot of people misguided in theology by these books. What if Jesus comes to rapture his church, and then all left are then destroyed, period?

Amazing how many atheists think that if they knock out the legs of christianity they have banished the concept of a god altogether.

Jehovah is not the only god in the human pantheon.

And even if every recognized claim for a deity were eliminated, it does not eliminate the concept of a deity thus far undescribed.

Why claim certain knowledge that there can be no god when the concept of deity has infinite and incalculable permutations and combinations?

think about it. in the grand scheme of the universe, wether you go to heaven or hell, does it matter? according to you, millions go anyway. you never try to create a positive change beyond attempting to convert everyone you come in contact with. so according to your viewpoint, does it matter that you are an individual with your own mind, and thoughts. NO. you are just another sheep in the populace, from whom true individuals will stand out by throwing aside your petty conventions and defining themselves with positive action.

I looked at some of the information, I was curious as to what it was all about....not much is told about it except what it can supposedly do for you...and then you can pay $250 for a starter kit and you must sign up for classes...I hope some of the morbidly obese people in my state sign up for this and lose weight...

But why so much money? I did the same thing the woman talks about, losing weight, getting off anti-depressants, quitting smoking, etc. all on my own...and it cost me nothing...

Our sensory equipment is designed to handle a three-dimensional reality.

However, science has concluded that there are far more dimensions to reality (time being the one most often recognized).

Is it wise to declare authoritatively there is no god, deity, or other supernatural phenomenon when the senses used to determine this are widely recognized as useless outside the three dimensions?
