I believe in evolution, but I after an NDE [near death experience] I believe in afterlife. I have always believed in after life though. I was a christian up to this year after learning all about evolution which obviously makes sense...If i dont believe in god or jesus, yet believe in afterlife..what the heck does that make me? Jewish?

Why is it when I tell someone that I do not believe in god automatically I'm heartless and don't believe in anything they believe in? First of all I don't classify myself as anything I simply do not believe that god exists and I am dead set on that fact however there are parts of the bible I do believe such as "don't judge people" "treat people how you wish to be treated" things like that sorry I don't quote scripture! So why is it when I state I don't believe in god automatically I have no heart and I don't know the difference between right and wrong? Why is it that automatically I'm this horrible person? I personally think that people just don't understand that not believing in god doesn't mean that I'm against everything they stand for.

evolution is a scientific theory...is it the best explanations science has come up with to explain how man came to be...it is the best observations scientist have come up with to explain how man came to be...it is a scientific theory that have never been proven 100% correct...thus making it still a theory and not a fact...science demands theories be proven 100 percent before they become facts...religion does not...religions requires faith...but many evolutionist have faith that their scientific theory is 100% fact when it is not...i am not telling atheist what they should or should not believe but keep prospective on who they call fools for what they believe when both have no certainty of proof...

Why do you do it? It is clear in the Bible not to worship idols.2 Corinthians 6:14-18,Exodus 20:4-5 You must not make yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah am your God exacting exlusive devotion..... and 1 Corinthians 10:14 Therefore,my beloved ones flee form idolatry. Is it not perfectly clear?

Why do they try to prove religion wrong?

Religious people, have to teach others about their beliefs.
This isn’t true for atheists.

I know some atheists could care less, but some others try so hard to prove it wrong.
Why?

I was just reading a survey conducted by the Skeptic Magazine; http://www.skeptic.com/the_magazine/featured_articles/v12n03_orthodox_judaism_and_evolution.html it shows results that indicate a vast majority of Jewish students at universities reject evolution as an explanation for life on this planet and agree with the bibles writings that the universe is about 7000 years old and believe the Noah’s Ark story. Yet the wikipedia page on Israel; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isreal#Science_and_technology it shows that Israeli scientists have significantly contributed to the progress of modern science. How can this be?
