evolution is a scientific theory...is it the best explanations science has come up with to explain how man came to be...it is the best observations scientist have come up with to explain how man came to be...it is a scientific theory that have never been proven 100% correct...thus making it still a theory and not a fact...science demands theories be proven 100 percent before they become facts...religion does not...religions requires faith...but many evolutionist have faith that their scientific theory is 100% fact when it is not...i am not telling atheist what they should or should not believe but keep prospective on who they call fools for what they believe when both have no certainty of proof...

Admittedly we do not have 100% of the theory of evolution, but lets face it, at least we do have a large amount of evidence. i cant say that much for the bible.

A "scientific theory" is more than an educated guess. In addition, there are many scientific theories that Christians have no problem with: plate tectonics, Relativity (both general and special), or cell theory. Only evolution gives them fits.

The Bible has no more evidence for its credibility as a absolute truth than The Complete Works of William Shakespeare.

There is evidence to support the theory of evolution, otherwise it could not be a scientific theory. In addition, the theory of evolution is amendable when new evidence becomes available. The Bible, according to its supporters, must be right, correct, and true at all times, and can never, ever be wrong. No matter what the evidence is to the contrary.

To answer your question, I demand just as much proof of evolution as I do of the Bible. The Bible fails the evidence test, and evolution is supported.

Ahhh word games, the refuge of the intellectually dishonest.

Technically, evolution cannot be 100% 'proven', for the same reason that it cannot be 100% proven that smurfs don't live in everyones roof. Never-the-less, ALL the evidence supports evolution. The statistical odds that evolution is wrong would be something like 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%. No that doesn't mean it is 100% proven. Just 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999%

Evolution acceptors (does not = atheists) do not demand '100% proof'. They demand overwhelming evidence. Evolution has it all. Biblical-literalist Creation has nothing but urban myths and flat out lies to support it.

Wrong. A scientific theory is an explanation that has both never been disproved and has an enormous amount of evidence which supports it. You know, like the Theory of Gravity. You really should demand a better education, or, better yet, go out and get a better education for yourself. There is more proof for evolution than for the existence of Jesus. That's a simple, verifiable fact.

Then why aren't apes talking today? Yes, small cases of evolution are important for a creature to survive--the poor Panda, don't you think he would have evolved into an animal that found a better source of protein? and now is dying out because the bamboo is also? Darwin theory came about because Darwin was an atheist and had to find a system he could "live" with himself -- others in his scientific world disagreed even through many of them also didn't believe in a Creator. But there are so many things that can't be explain through evolution: shells and sea creature fossils found on Mt. Everest. Hawaii's volcano mountain is the tallest in the world, the great redwood trees in the Northwest of US. The iron-rich, no oxygen lake and waterfall in Antarctic where there are creatures living and thriving with no real normal earthly environment, the creatures that freeze and thaw out in the spring, and how the Bible speaks of what animals were kosher for Noah and those that followed him ... and no new ones have been found ... how washing of food, dishes, hands and cleaning out a place after someone or something has died was important then and now. How to clean out the bugs in veggies and fruits, how to detect disease in animals before consuming, how not to eat creatures in the middle of the food chain or those that clean the shores and seas around us, etc. So much sound advice, from over 3500 years ago is so important today, so why aren't we studying more on the science and math of the Hebrew Bible to learn even more? A good question. The Bible is timeless, said to have been written before time, space & creation were here and we need the oral commentaries that Moses received to bring out the details that were only skimmed over in the written. When you go to sites like NASA and study about why our moon is important, or how large the trillions of solar systems out there are and how small and lucky we are in what we have here on earth ... we are special, we are unique. It is said that over 10,000 other planets are inhabited, but by those with either an animal soul or a good soul ---- only on earth do we have people with both an animal soul and a Godly soul with free will. Knowing we are here for a mission to do and not to use our world as a stepping stone to sacrifice our lives to go to a heaven that is not even mentioned in the Hebrew Bible ... makes you wonder why people are treated so badly, like animals, by those that can only see others in relationship to their own view, rather than as a "cousin" --- from the same one mother science has proven (mRNA) we all came from.

Oh, God! I LOVE THIS QUESTION!

AMEN AND AMEN!

The Bible HAS been proven Scientifically, Physically and Spiritally - Maybe not ALL of it but, much of the Bible HAS been proven. There is a stone in Egypt that has the full story of the True Exodus where the Jews leave Egypt! Sodom and Gamorah have been found! Prophecy from the Books of Daniel, Ezekiel, Matthew, Luke, 1st Thesselonians and, Revelation as well as others, IS Happening! The Very Words of Jesus are comming True! So, if this does not proove the Bible - I DON'T KNOW WHAT DOES!!!!

Peace and Grace to all who read this!

Take Care and God Bless!

Well, I /did/ graduate, and while small-scale adaptations obviously do occur within species, I do not believe small populations can support persistent, advantageous changes toward successful speciation prior to extinction. ("Small" being defined here as fewer than several quadrillion, i.e., anything other than insects and the like.) Nor do I believe that the roughly ten million years between the Late Heavy Bombardment and the earliest appearance of life was anywhere near enough for that life to have occurred spontaneously, especially in the largely oxidizing environment that was recently found to have been present throughout that period. Frankly, I think biology majors need to take a lot more math courses. Note the much higher concentration of theists among noted physicists, chemists and engineers. (Yes, I have numerous examples.)

I do not demand proof that the Bible is real. It has been proven false many, many times. Do you know anything at all about science or evolution? It has been proven. It's no longer considered a theory. Get your facts straight.

We HAVE proof that evolution is fact. You bloody Christians just keep saying that scientific theory means "guess" when it doesn't.A scientific theory is not a guess. A THEORY is a guess. Scientific theory is like musical theory. Both mean the same thing. They mean the body of all factual knowledge pertaining to the subject.

Your teachers should be ashamed of themselves that you don't understand that.

Not all atheist believe or even care about evolution. This evolution vs. creationist is a false dichotomy. They are both dogma and we need to get beyond the dogma so that we can discover the truth. Neither creationist nor evolution is an important question. The question is what do you do to discover truth. Dogma leads one away from truth.
