As I read the Word, I notice that it says that if a woman does not wear a covering, she should be shorn as well, implying that all women were wearing cover according to Paul. And like Adam below, I am unsure of why the practice would change

It only changed due to women becoming less submissive to men and scripture as time goes on. All scriptures advocate this but, we think we know better than God or Gods representatives. The chased women follow this, as well as long dress covering the legs. Otherwise we are acting unchaste.

...if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering...but could it hurt to do it anyway, if you feel that makes you 100% sure your doing things the right way...

That is a personal decision based on whether one feels they need to, not whether someone says yes you should or no you shouldn't.

No, your hair is your covering, and you're not supposed to cut it either. Continue to read. Do you know why you keep your head covered, what the purpose is, and why your're not supposed to cut your hair?

It's a respect thing. It shouldn't be a "do I have to?" It should be a "I want to" thing. It's no longer required but it is still a sign of reverence.
