If it's really true that "Creation is Religion & Evolution is Science", and Evolution is the only option for an atheist, what is the naturalistic, logical, scientific explanation for atheists to be in the Religion section of Yahoo! Answers?

Isn't it ironic when people in the Religion section are blamed for proselytizing by atheists who choose to verbally harrass? In other words, are atheists truly able to play by their own rules?

If the vast majority of voters in a democratic system belong to one religion.

And the vast majority of political candidates belong to the same religion.

And the vast majority of candidates who win their elections belong to the same religion.

And the vast majority of politicians who vote for legislation belong to the same religion.

And the laws they pass are consistent with that same religion, tho' denying other religions the freedom to perform their marriages as they see fit?

And as the courts begin to accept that the Constitution guarantees -all- religions freedom, and not just "Christianity", so too does the ever-increasing noise about "activist judges" by, all together now, people belonging to this same religion.

And is it not strange that those who once enjoyed a position of privilege because of race are now trying to enjoy a position of privilege because of their religion?

Is not a "theocracy" a power-structure benefitting members of one religion?

Since the evangelical athiest's on yahoo are so good at telling us Christians what it is that we believe and don't believe in (from the old yahoo news boards day's to here on yahoo answers), for instance, I never knew until yahoo atheist's told me that I apparently am afraid of science, believe the world is flat and only 6,000 years old, don't believe in evolution, don't believe in dinosaurs, and (my personal favorite) want a theocracy. So, atheist's, please tell me what I think of the Harry Potter series.

The reason I ask is I heard a story on the news about a woman that wants the series removed from school libraries in GA because she claims it's leading children into witchcraft. While I enjoyed the movies very much, and while I would assume that I believe they are just works of fiction to be enjoyed I'm sure that the yahoo atheist's will tell me exactly what it is that I believe about the movies, so please do so, so that I know whether to keep the DVD's or get rid of them.

We can all collectively smack our foreheads. "OMFG! I never considered such a proposal. You're a genius! GENIUS! You must write a book! I've seen the light and embrace Baby Jesus. Thank you...oh, thank you...my soul at last finds rest...."

It might be fun! :)

Financial crisis, broken marriage, chronic disease, racism, death of a beloved one... Do all these tells you that God do not loves you?
On the other hand, financial success, good health, prosperity, happiness, acceptance, good family... do prove to you that God loves you?
What is the right thermometer to measure God's love for humanity, specifically to you?
The Bible tells us God already had proven His love to us 2000 years a go by giving His only son to die on the cross, so we get saved. Personally, after knowing this truth, all the fortunes/ misfortunes have no place in my life either to approve/disapprove God's love to me. The cross definately tells me that I am loved, protected, and accepted !
My dear, what God was supposed to do in order to prove that He loves you?

1st: your bible says gays are to be stoned.
2nd: secular marriage is not scriptural by definition.
3rd: no one is talking about forcing your religion to conduct gay marriages.

So why won't you make it legal for gays to obtain secular marriage (or religious marriages with any religion willing to conduct them)?

When did your country become a theocracy where the rule of one religion governs the rest?

The road to our future is paved with education, critical thinking, inspiration and hard work.

Keep up the good work.

I have to brag a little: A young lady I tutored for Algebra II & Trig went from, “I can’t do this s***. I hate math!” (last October) to not having to take the final because she had an A average during second term. YEA LISA!!!!!

Are you a natural Christian or a spiritual Christian?
Or... a natural Christian vs. spiritual Christian, or an immature Christian vs. a mature Christian?

What makes you what you are and why? How do you define your Christianity? (Yes there are two different types of Christians, look in the Bible and understand! Read Paul's epistles and understand them, read the gospels where Jesus speaks in parables to the "sheep" but speaks and explains the mysteries to his Apostles, a Christianity for the beginning sheep, and another for the Apostles and teachers)

first accepts Him as his perfect Creator. To worship means to acknowledge and praise the worthiness of God.

1. Would God be worthy of praise if He had not originally created this world and all its creatures perfectly?

2. Could a person find reason to praise the company that produced and sold him a car full of mechanical defects?

3. Belief in God is not blind ignorance, but does the Bible ask you to close your eyes to scientific facts?

http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/05/20/baby.in.microwave.ap/index.html

This lady says her husband didn't put the baby in the microwave; the devil made him do it.

Wow. Xians will go to any lengths to save their precious images. To never take responsibility for anything, but just say "oh, it's satan's work. It's the devil's fault."

I guess if they ever had an ounce of integrity, that would be their own doing? But anything bad -- it's "oh, that's not me. It isn't my fault. Lucifer is to blame for that!"

Ted Haggard, same thing -- "satan" made him lust after gay male masseurs and smoke meth!

Yeah. Right, Ted...

Does it make you sick, too? To see them pull this nonsense all the time?
