Dogs truly forgive. If you don't understand what your Dog is trying to tell you, he won't ensure that you burn in pain and suffering for eternity. God on the other hand does.
Dogs are also more than willing to show themselves as tangible loving beings, God doesn't.
Dogs typically don't encourage men to gather together and kill one another, Gods always do.

according to the creation perspective that would be crazy. god is the creator, a dog is the created. instead you can see some things in the dog that enlighten us to higher revelations of a divine nature: loyalty, ability to learn tricks, loving companionship, mans best friend. other things enlighten us to spiritual things of a lower nature such as where the idiom of calling someone a dog: they think only of themselves and manipulate people...

Okay, I've wracked my brain and only came up with one...
Because of the dog's physical presence he can bring comfort to everyone, regardless of their capacity for faith.
However, I suppose a person would still need to have enough faith in the dog that it wouldn't bite them.
Someone who is afraid of doG is not going to want to get close to him, in case he bites.
As yoda said "fear is the path to the dark side". Faith brings comfort, even if our faith is put in nothing more than a friendly little doG.

Its a lot easier to know the nature of a dog, and lets face it, they obey commands much better.

A dog can lick his own balls.
I know, the first couple of times that's probably really gross, but after that...
But, that's still not better than God. God can do anything! Even lick his own balls if it was needed.

The last I've checked dogs have not commanded genocide.
