..one of the first laws passed after Hitler took power was the banning of kosher meat preperation because it was deemed inhumane?

Nazi Germany
The former chief rabbi of Norway, Michael Melchior, relates that "one of the first things Nazi Germany forbade was kosher slaughter."[8]

"One of Hitler’s first moves to institutionalize anti-Semitism was to ban all kosher food and anyone caught practicing ritual slaughter was sent straight to a death camp."[6]

"Significantly, the infamous Nazi "documentary" film Der ewige Jude (The Eternal Jew), designed to sow hatred for Jews, contained a gruesome scene that utterly distorted the way in which animals are killed in accordance with Jewish law, depicting the practice as a barbarous custom in which Jews rejoice at the suffering of animals."

Well, I know this is a weird question, but I'm starting to worry that I'm pressed for time. I know I don't want to be Christian. There's so many other religions out there. I really don't know what to think, and it's driving me crazy. I wish there was something someone could prove to me to make this easier. I don't know what t obeleive anymore. Basically I just twist things to fit with what I think is morally correct, but I still worry a lot that I'm missing something. Does anyone have any ideas to make me stop thinking about it? Because it's taking over my life.

What is the Jewish position on Old Testament prophecies that point to Jesus as Messiah? Daniel and Isaiah told the time and location of his birth. The Jews in Jesus time were aware of these prophecies and were looking intently for the Messiah at the time of his appearance. What do Jews today (who are still waiting for a Messiah) think about the prophecy of the 70 weeks, and others that point to the time of Messiah's birth and death as well as his traits and actions while on Earth and therefore indicate Jesus as He.

People say all the time to keep praying about something if you are not receiving a response or the response you want. The Bible says not to be too repetitive with prayer though. And yet people still saying just keep praying. Shouldn't we pray then let go and let God and accept His answer even if it isn't what we want to hear? And isn't no answer usually a 'no' answer anyway? So if we keep praying we would be like little kids begging our parents for something we were told no for. But do we keep praying anyway for the same things? Or let go and let God? What are your thoughts?

The Virgin Mary, presumably a normal female, would only have X Chromosomes. The Y Chromosome is only passed from father to son in sperm. So, if Jesus was born of a Virgin, where did he get the Y Chromosome?

If you say "Jehovah", then doesn't this imply that Jehovah really is an old man with or without a beard? Doesn't this mean that we could isolate the Y Chromosome in a hair or skin cell found on the Shroud of Turin and actually look at a Chromosome that came directly from God?

I am a Mormon and believe the story of the creation of Man in Genesis to be literal. So I do not believe that man evolved from any kind of ape, neanderthal or other lesser human.

But I do believe in the evolution of animals, that they change with their environments and due to breeding constraints.

Is this unusual? It seems from many posts here that most believe you can not combine the two beliefs, is that a commonly held belief? I think it just makes sense and am surprised by those that think it must be one way or the other, that there can be no common ground on this issue.

NOTE: This question is not for those that wish to attack Evolutionists or Creationists for their deeply held beliefs. I will report anyone that does so. This is a discussion about how common is it for people to believe in both, not which belief is right/wrong.
