Soul goes to heaven, dust and bones into the ground. When Jesus comes again our bodies will be matched with our souls and we will be whole again. That is what my mom believes anyway and it makes a lot of sense to me.

That's what many people believe.
But, then ask yourself why people believe this?
There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever, nor is it even possible given the known laws of the universe.
so- they believe it because:
1. They want to believe it
2. because it was written down in an old book
3. because someone told them it was true. Someone who also has no evidence.

Well, that's what the Jehovah Witnesses teach and believe, and various other Christian sects. The Bible DOES say that. Like the late Robert Ripley used to say, "Believe it, or Not."
