I met a girl in a bar that was named Mary, and she said she was a Virgin. Does that count? She seemed very nice and quite sweet.

Obviousily, Joseph knew her when she was a virgin, beacuse they got together and had Yahshua (known in todays language as Jesus) as a son. However, this woman is long since dead, buried, turned to dust, & awaiting the resurrection
of the dead in Messiah. She is not floating around on a cloud somewhere, or appearing as a ghost to people. That spirit is from some other origin, and must not be confused with salvation in any way, shape, or form. This can only lead to deception!!!

I have never met her nor seen her.
But she does appear to people. There are accounts of apparitions. Some famous ones are Fatima and Medjugorje. Check out this website. Be aware that not all of these are approved by the Catholic church.

yea. i have heard of this, there are many stories of the virgin mary can be seen in elements of holy figures regular objects (ie:grilled cheese). It is a happy symbol to simply show you are being watched over or maybe a recent discovery in faith.

Christ gave John instruction from the cross to care for His mother and His Church. The Holy Mother lived with John until her assumption. I also bet, her family (like Elizabeth, Lk 1) knew her. Many have had and have visions of her. Maybe you too one day will meet Our Blessed Mother. Then, maybe not.

I prefer mine with the vodka. A virgin mary just doesn't have the same kick as a bloody mary.

God said that the end of the Bible was the end of His revelations to man. Anybody claims to have a "revelation" from anyone appearing to them, they either have a very overactive imagination, are lying, or on drugs, or mentally unbalanced, or possibly under some kind of demonic influence. Check the Bible out yourself. He doesn't send people back from Heaven to give us messages....He sent his Holy Spirit to guide us and help us understand his word. People are always looking for some sensational, out of the ordinary experience to attribute to God.. While he still is quite capable of miracles, his usual way is through his "still, small, voice" inside all believers.

"a"? How many are there? I've never met one. I am a born again Christian (Pentecostal protestant) and don't really believe in people from heaven appearing to people on earth. I believe in the Holy Spirit coming to people but He is a spirit and doesn"t "appear" to people. He inspires and indwells Gods people.
