I would think you believe that God speaks to you. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm not going to blindly believe you. But I'm not going to assume that, if there is a God, He wouldn't speak to you. I have no possible way of knowing one way or the other. The unknown is just that- the unknown. This leaves the possibility of it being either true or false.

That you prayed for something and got an answer, or you read the scriptures and got a confirmation from the Holy Ghost that it was true. Or that someone answered your prayers by helping you in some way, hence God talking through them. There are a lot of things I could say to answer this, but those are the main ones that come to mind.

That either you read the bible daily and meditate on it thereby receiving his thoughts and instruction. Or, that you are yet another victim of phony holy spirit who claims to communicate directly with God, audibly or otherwise. This is the most likely answer since most people don't read the Bible.
Plenty of people though, through mental instability and emotional fervor, are convinced that they speak with God.
How sad.

If you said that God speaks to you, I would say you are the one who takes the time to listen. God still speaks but when we don't take enough time to sit and listen, we can miss Him. I am so glad to hear that you listen for His still small voice.

You are either a spirit filled born again Christian or a nutcase. God does speak to many people through the Bible, through the Holy Spirit, through anointed Gospel music, through the inspiration of fellow Christians, etc.

That would make me think that you are one who prays quietly. You speak to Him then you listen for Him to speak to you. It tells me you have an intimate relationship that not a lot of Christians have. My friend told me about praying quietly and so I also hear Him speak and am very busy because of it. I bet you are too.

well I think I'd give you the benefit of the doubt and think that you were making it up to fit in with your (insert your particular religion here) friends or that you were having mental conversation with yourself
but depending on the circumstances I might think you were crazy. after all that poor woman who cut off her babies arms insisted that god was talking to her

God speaks to his creation: even to ants, the moon, the stars etc....God speaks to all these things.
Why should it be a wonder, a marvel and an astonishment that "God speaks to me" ?
