Paul wrote his letters before the 70 CE destruction of the Temple&Jerusalem. The 4 Gospels were written after and in response to the destruction. The implications are STAGGERING!~

Well... "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" But that doesn't mean 100% that we must accept jesus now... some know jesus better than others... ie. Christian children. That could mean when we die we meet with jesus and we can accept him than... it's quite unjust if a child is brought up muslim and than suffers eternity for the circumstance they were brought up in... christian children are more likely to believe in jesus than muslim children... i'm sure in the bible it said for those who do not know of jesus... they will know when they die... so muslims don't KNOW jesus... like christians do... when we die we will meet with jesus and have a PROPER CHANCE, where's your proof that jesus said We must in THIS LIFE believe in him to go to heaven before we die.

He was physically and mentally abusive. It drove me in the hospital. Then after it is to late he decided to act like a normal human being. My local priest is the one who told me to disolve our marriage. Our marriage lasted 12 years. This really hurts. If he would have just been nice in the beginning then we'd have been in a good place right now.

Everybody's doing it now! It's not cool anymore!

I think that pretty soon, atheism will turn into the equivalent of a music subculture. People will start saying: "You're a poser atheist. You probably believe in eternal salvation! You just saw all the atheist rock bands on MTV and decided you'd look cool in atheist clothing."

So, has it?

What the canonized saints of Christianity said about women:

"Woman is a daughter of falsehood, a sentinel of Hell, the enemy of peace; through her Adam lost paradise" (St. John Demascene)

"Woman is the instrument which the devil uses to gain possession of our souls" (St. Cyprian)

"Woman is the fountain of the arm of the devil, her voice is the hissing of the serpent" (St. Anthony)

"Woman has the poison of an asp, the malice of a dragon" (St. Gregory)

some quotes from the bible:

Timothy 2:11-14 "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression."

Ecclesiastics 7:26-28 "And I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare.

we see most of the peoples come to worship when they have troubles in their life after that they usually move in search of money .some peoples go to temple to ask for wealth .if man achives both the thing health &wealth .Do you think he will turn to see god...........?
Did any one see god at the temple ?
Did you ever spoke to him?
Did god give you any thing in hand ?
for here we see nothing when we go to a temple we get confidence not in us .But in god that he will see everything which make you to do things better .and you achieve .i see if you have confidence in you and you are right you can achieve everything. you can become god.when stones can be changed in to god .why man can't.

I find the whole idea of groveling and sniveling before and a hateful, imaginary sky pixie abhorrent. But, I’d like to keep my options open.

On second thought I don’t want to be a Christian.

I’m thinking about becoming a Christian but the evidence for evolution is just too compelling to reject it. But, I’d like to keep my options open.

Christ is often spoken of as "Gentle Jesus, meek and mild," but that label hardly fits with the language we find in Mark chapter nine as He affirms the fact and reality of Hell. We read these strong statements:

And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed,
than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Where their worm dieth not,
and the fire is not quenched.
And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life,
than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Where their worm dieth not,
and the fire is not quenched.
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye,
than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
Where their worm dieth not,
and the fire is not quenched.
-Mark 9:43-48
It's in your bible if you would like to read it? Believe?

Billy Graham was ok with evolution - so he's okay with non-literal creation.

Both Jews and Christians have considered the idea of the creation history as an allegory (instead of an historical description) long before the development of Darwin's theory. Two notable examples are the writings of Philo of Alexandria (1st century) and St. Augustine (4th century).

Many denominations of Christianity support or accept theistic evolution. For example, on 12 February 2006 the 197th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth was commemorated by "Evolution Sunday" where the message that followers of Christ do not have to choose between biblical stories of creation and evolution was taught in classes and sermons at Methodist, Lutheran, Episcopalian, Presbyterian, Unitarian, Congregationalist, United Church of Christ, Baptist and community churches.

Would you be offended if I said I think an unflinching belief in the Bible as a verbatim account has undermined the advancement of theology and spiritualism throughout the world?

Faith need not be blind. True faith answers the questions of those who have asked them. Faith is faith that faith will guide you when you cannot see. It is not about reciting answers for those who question, but answering the questions of those who may be genuinely seeking answers. To question faith is human. We are human. To answer those questions about faith is to find what out faith really is.

All atheists are required to take a shot in the unlikely event that a monkey asks the question in the fashion detailed in this original question:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070508092356AAUgwMk&r=w&pa=FZptHWf.BGRX3OFMhjxTVBfxblCO804mof_99ymysaK1ubCVCwbF4r2mbLJ5jAb9BMHx8SrHgRMvt_rJJA--&paid=answered#TcN6WTq1AmFk6CicxtU3cRdqed_ShynXEh_ptS6Y9WC9LF4griOw

Agnostics can opt not to take the shot, but must honestly ponder whether they should or not...which might depend on the ingredients.

I recently posted this question... and I got no answers, So i changed the title to this from "LOGIC... REASONING... AND REALITY" -please read-

So, from most of the comments I've read from atheists (and I'm saying "most" so don't get all defensive if you are not one of them), they claim their logic and reasoning are reality. So this claim is based on knowledge attained from your senses right? It must be so, because you rely so heavily on "evidence" right? And evidence is perceived only through your senses, right? What then do you say about deception? About magic tricks that deceive your senses... (Metaphorically speaking)... Is that then your reality? What if your logic does not allow you to see past your senses... And how can you call this reality? Evidence and science is everchanging... A few hundred years ago, the world was flat... And everyone who disagreed was killed... Why are you trying to do the same thing here (without actually killing....)?

Addicts are just so crazy. My friend broke his drug habit and now acts just as crazy with his new found christian life. He wants to start his own church with his new radical friends. Is there any difference from drugs to this? No

Is there anything you can do for someone like this. He is unbearable now as when on drugs.

Is it just because he's a traditional bad guy who does bad guy things? The same reason the mad scientist always wants to destroy the world with atomic mutant supermen? Or is there a reason behind it?

If he knew that God is omnipotent, and therefore superior him, why would he start such a fight?

Just curious... thanks.
