why do peoples go behind a religion ?

we see most of the peoples come to worship when they have troubles in their life after that they usually move in search of money .some peoples go to temple to ask for wealth .if man achives both the thing health &wealth .Do you think he will turn to see god...........?
Did any one see god at the temple ?
Did you ever spoke to him?
Did god give you any thing in hand ?
for here we see nothing when we go to a temple we get confidence not in us .But in god that he will see everything which make you to do things better .and you achieve .i see if you have confidence in you and you are right you can achieve everything. you can become god.when stones can be changed in to god .why man can't.

Einstein had said " Science without religion is lame" . The think what about other subjects !!
Religion gives moral support to person. Religion binds humans in the path of goodness. Just having education and work will not do.
After the U.S Bombs people started going to the churches because they had visited churches less due to their hectic lifestyles. People had understood life can stop anywhere. People go to the temples,church etc because they want some one to hold them after death. No loved ones,relatives are going to hold our hands after death. We get births as per our Karmas/actions.
Iam Hindu and hence say that people go to the temples or other faith persons goes to their churchs/mosques etc because one want to remain connected with god of their faith or supreme god.
I read article about do we ever meet god and talk with him.
God talks in many ways. Reading that article I thought and this changed my thinking patterns. God is within us. We fail to read whisper in our hearts since we are busy. We say intutions which is nothing a second advise from God.
Example - We are thinking to do something and we are standing in the market and we heard conversations related to our projects,work career etc.
There are many ways God reach us. Next day we may come across articles through newspaper,magazines etc.
Men cannot be god since we are selfish and time had proved whenever he gets power he had utilized the power for his sake. We have our politicians as a example. God has given the limitations to the humans as per their deserving skills. This is what makes God and Humans apart.
God is forgiving , kind to all humans. This is impossible for us.
By offering chances in many ways God gives us our best future in our hands.
This is onto us to grasp or let it go.

People go behind a religion for many unexplained reasons. When you see a person in a temple asking for a boon to come out of any trouble, they are hypocrates. They worship their god and humiliate them by asking for financial gain or end the misery in their life. Everything in life happen for a reason. Nobody has seen a god in person. If you can see him in person than what is the difference between him and humans? God is a power. We can not see it just like we can not see electricity. We can feel the effect of that power. In science, you can see the end result. With god, you can feel the result. For example, when you flip the switch that is connected to a bulb via electrical cord, the light will turn on. you can see it and feel the heat if you go near it. With god, when you are confused and seeking some answers, your mind becomes a switch, your goal becomes a light bulb and your faith and trust in god becomes that electricity. You will not see your goal light up but you will feel the effect of it through your mind and soul. That is the power of god. It is all about trust. With that trust, you can gain self confidence and achieve anything. Stones are carved in to a figure and people use that figure to communicate with the god. Therefore, stones can not be changed in to god. We as a humn being are only humans till some one make an effort to reshape the life to be honest, be respectful and helpful to fellow human being. Once we do that, we may become worthy of getting close to god. Yes you can change it. The power is within you. You need to learn how and when to turn that switch on.

First of all I congratulate you for putting up such a beautiful question. The reason is that we know about GOD only through different religious thoughts, we are born to the parents of certain religions or we are the product of our environment and we act accordingly. The common nature of human is some greedy, selfish, kind, cruel and many more... our mind always needs something to hang on when in trouble so we all approach to GOD. It is not true that all people runaway from GOD's once they got wealth and health. There are thousands who have got everything in life and ultimately feel something missing and they find the GOD. To see God one needs the "njana kannu" or is called as the eye of knowledge and sense, Temples, churches n Mosqs are trying to channel those believers in an organised way, it is not a bad thing, but when somebody use it for their own greedy purpose, it cannot be blamed on religions.

Relgion is not just about going to temples, or churches, or mosques. If you carefully study those religious scripts, you would realize that they are about developing a clean society with a homogeneous structure. Study any religion around the world, you would find root fundamentals to be the same. They are all about humanity. They preach brotherhood, kindness, tolerance, acceptance, etc. They advise us to keep away from sinful traits like greed, lust, anger, ego, etc.

And when people pray, they are expressing their faith in this goodness. Off course I do believe that if you have confidence in you, then you can acheive whatever you want. Now what if a greedy man is confident that he can earn a lot of money by cheating? One needs to draw a line about what's wrong and what's rightfor the benefit of the mankind. Religion does it.However we manipulate religion in different ways. Now-a-days, religion has just become a brand name. Very few people actually follow those ethics. Once we completely ignore religions, we would forget our limits and the whole world would turn out to be hell.

Dear people go after the religion,because of the fact that they do not believe in the existance of God or do not know the meaning of God. This whole universe is the master creation of one ALL MIGHTY. but we gave him different names of religion, hindu ,sikh, muslim, christian,budhist etc. etc. All these religions heads have opened their shops to make fool of the people and shirk to say the truth, which is that when the All Mighty send one soul to this world, ;his\her fortune or misfortune he writes by way of HIS code language.This every body spend during the stay in the world, but the religious shops will use to say, no no come to us ,we will change ur fortune, this all is misleading and this way we go on the wrong paths.We do use to bribe God, lest he may get away bad luch and keep these with HIM and we may he or she be given only good luck.

I guess people need something to believe in. Sometimes, even our loved ones can fail us. Sometimes, even laws can fail us. But religion offers a guideline for people to follow. All religion (that I know of) believes that God loves us all. Even if we err and make mistakes, no matter how horrible, God will still forgive us if we are sincere. God is my Rock & Shelter when I need a friend & protector.

Everyone born of God, born of His spirit can pray to God 24/7 in hour of need. Even if the need is little to just need a friend. Yes, God hears my prayers & answers them. Without God, I would be nothing, because I was nothing when He delivered me and healed me and made me whole. Without God, I would just go back to that. When God assures me in my innerman that God loves me & will never leave or forsake me, then that is my shelter, my hiding place in Christ. It isn't so important if others think I am nothing & am stupid. It is important that God loves me & I have the OK from God in what my decision is.


Just last weekend, my husband got drunk & condemned me about how stupid I was to get on Yahoo answers & questions. That I am in a trance & am sooo worth nothing. And on and on. Well I went to the kitchen to get thing ready to cook dinner. So the yelling at me continued. And he even tells me I don't know what love is and expounded on that. Telling me God doesn't love me, etc... Raising his voice angrily.

After that I went down stairs behind a locked door and the Holy Spirit directed me to the Promise book with verses of the comforter, the Holy Spirit. I read that, & know that was from God comforting me. Also, then the Holy Spirit let me know that it wasn't really my husband who was persecuting me for my faith. But the devil who was angry at me. My husband was just being the devils puppet (because he was drunk). Then I question why my husband would be so mad at me cuz I believed God loved me. There is no reason for my husband to be mad at me for that. So, then the devil was attacking me much this last weekend and it was very confusing for me. But then God's Word & Spirit is my Strong Hiding Place.

Because people did not see god anywhere , the way god is depicted by religions .
Because they do not know where they came from.
Because they do not know where they would be going .
because they are unwilling to go but feel insecure as they see everybody is going .
Because they do not know what god is .
Because they do not know that god is in them already.

This is why the Hindus see god in everything from dust to diamond and from grass to gold .they can see god in stone and in man too.
Lord Krishna has shown that there nothing really inanimate as god is in everything .This is scientifically true as all animate things are made of the so-called inanimate things alone and that even in the atom of an inanimate thing , the electron is said to e moving around the proton and that these two form the basic component of all things without exception.
