Not likely... We were small potatoes pre-1859! And we have grown - with truly *zero effort* - to ~1,000,000,000 now.
We have the ToE, Big Bang Cosmology and much more. The upshot is that we’ve gone from relatively few to huge numbers in less than 150 years. We find (roughly) the percentages of Atheism for certain countries: Vietnam – 81%, Sweden - ~65%, Denmark – ~65%, Norway – ~64%, Japan – ~65%, the Czech Republic – ~58%, Finland – ~51%, and so on. China has ~150,000,000 atheists, while Russia has ~44,000,000, Germany has ~36,000,000, France has ~28,000,000, the U.K. has ~22,000,000 and even little Canada has ~8,000,000 atheists (lots more of course). There are up to 26,000,000 atheists in the States. Given these numbers and associated growth, it becomes apparent that *atheism is just thriving!* Hopefully, the current trend will even accelerate!
Your: "COOL" is irrelevant... *TRUTH* is what MATTERS.

No,
Atheism is unappealing. There is no great reason why you are here. No one is up there looking out for you. Bad things happen for no good reason. When you die you are just gone.
Religion is appealing for the opposite reasons.
However, religion is irrational. Atheism is a rational position. As religion become less able to infect children with it's dogma before they have the ability for deep rational thought the rationality of atheism becomes the default.
I actually expect religion to undergo a crisis in the developed world over the next generation or two. The developing world will follow as education levels improve.

Hah! The Dreams of the Everyday Theist.
Not much chance this time around. We made a mistake the first time. We assumed that the news would just slowly sink in that there was no need for deities to explain Man, Life and the Universe. Not wishing to intrude on private grief, we figured we'd just let them all come to their senses, bewail the loss of their invisible friends like any kid informed about Santa, any rejoin the human race.
We reckoned without the tenacity with which these dreams are clung to. Theists would rather disconnect utterly from known reality than face the world without their fantasies.
Well, the time has come: reality's back, and this time it's taking no prisoners. The godders are just going to have to suck it up.

Could be true as lame as it sounds. That's why I prefer Satanism... it's atheism with a purpose.

atheism is not about being cool or anything...people who think that are the ones who feel inferior for whatever the weird reasons that they have...atheism merely means not believing in God,and that's done due to logical reasons...

it has nothing to do with being cool. It's about not believing in something that we have no proof exists.
