I would like to know how christians can deny evolution and say simply.....one giant flood created those fossils.

I work as a mineral/fossil miner and I want to ask.........

If those fossils are from one giant flood then how are there hundreds of different layers each containing its own life forms and sedimentary minerals?

Some of these layers are over 50 feet thick. The layers on the bottom have the most primative life forms and each layer above has more complex life forms.

The fossil record world wide shows these same layers and the same trend of life forms.

In some cases marine life has intersected with plant & animal life showing periods of flooding followed by that of land.

can someone please explain to me WHY an ALL KNOWING God would have to "test" anyone's faith?

wouldn't He have FORESEEN that whatever He does or does not do would have no effect because the people who believe would believe and the people who won't just won't?

i mean He IS an all knowing God isn't He?

I recently asked a question about sin and I got told that because Adam and Eve sinned, I have inherited that sin because I am descended from them.....

So how does that work? Should it not be that I have inherited the POTENTIAL to sin? I COULD go and steal a forbidden fruit and eat it, but I dont. Why am I a sinner because my ancestors were?

God makes no sense. Not because 'I don't understand God because he is far too knowledgable for me'. It doesnt take a genius to work out that it was Adam and Eve who sinned.....not everybody else.

And he definitely could have created free will that CHOSE to obey God. Seems to me that he isn't all powerful and all knowing. But if he proves it to me (and he will know how if he is all-knowing) i will happily convert and repent.

What's up with all the tests, that he KNOWS we atheists are going to fail anyway?
Why the big need to have us worship the son that he sent to be sacrificed?
Please explain the LOGIC in this guy. Sounds like maybe God didn't get enough hugs from his mom and dad when he was just a baby God. Your thoughts?

God state what is unclean to eat and Im wondering to you think Romans Chapter 14 changes what is unclean? Im mean do you think Romans chapter 14 means nothing is unclean to eat anymore or does Leviticus still stand. If you have NOT read these please dont respond.

If yes, for what sort of crime do you think burning for eternity in horrible pain would be a correct punisment?

I would never have invented such a thing. Even if a person would murder my lovely girlfriend, I still think any sort of punishment should have educational purposes. And the purpose of education is to make a person a better person. Hell won't do that.

But, in your opinion, what kind of crime deserves a punishment like burning forever and ever in horrible pain?

It is called the Metropolitan Community Church. The Cathedral of Hope in Dallas, Texas until recently was associated with this denomination, and has over 3,000 members.

A couple of years ago in the middle of the Sunday morning service at the Dallas church... a fundamentalist preacher interrupted the service and went to the front of the church and started waving his Bible yelling at everyone and over shouting the pastor...saying that they were going to hell. Since that time the church has had to employ armed security officers to protect the congregants.

Regardless of whether you feel that gay is a sin or not...
How would you feel if someone from another denomination interrupted your service in such a manner?

If you are Baptist...how would you feel if a Mormon interrupted your service shouting at you...if JW's, or Presbyterian...how would you feel if a Muslim interrupted your service?

Is this of God? Aren't fundamentalists going too far..bordering on harrasment?

He created the universe, and has been hiding ever since. I'm 27 now, and I'm really getting a bit too old for this silly game of hide-and-seek.

I don't even wanna play that silly game, but this Guy will make me burn forever and ever in a 'lake of fire', if I don't play.

My grandpa has just died after a long fight with a brain tumour. He was a kind, gentle man whose life was chaged irreversibly after WW2; before the war he was a fisherman, and for many years afterwards too, but he was never quite the same after 1946 when he finally came home.

During the Normandy landings he was the first man out of his landing craft, a conscript piper whose job it was to play the bagpipes at the head of his unit to act as a rallying call; he did not have a weapon but was at the head of two dozen other men, all young conscripts like himself. Only he survived, the beach defenders perhaps unwilling to shoot an unarmed man; all his unit was machinegunned before ever making it off of the beach. This experience changed him forever, and during his last days I tried my hardest to understand what he must have been through.

After the war he supported his wife (who was blinded in a bombing raid) and two children, and kept many stray animals.

Do you think he'll do OK?

Dont you think that all religions are ancient myths? if you are born in saudi arabia or iran , 98% of the chances are you will be a muslim. if you are born in america there is a good chance where you will be born christian.
if you are born in india you will be hindu and if you were born in Tibet you will be a buddhist

so i ask whats so special about any religion?
