I know some of you Christians are decent and cool with the whole gay thing, but for those who think it's immoral or evil or sick...do you know that your Christian grandparents hated black people 50 years ago and treated them like second class citizens as well? **BTW, Jesus was black.**

We are living in time where people think it's okay as long as you say you are a christian to live any kinda way , because you profess to be saved. This teaching that is called once saved always saved is what the bible was talking about in the last days . False teachers , telling people what they want to hear other than the consequences they will face for disobedience to God's Word.If a person takes thier life where is there faith in God.He can slove any problem and thiers nothing to hard in our lives that He can't handle . when a person commits suicide they have listen to the lies of the devil ,Who ststed to Adam and Eve they would'nt die for eating the forbidden fruit .self murder is no different than taking someone elses life. People who believe and teach once saved always saved will have to answer to God if someone commits suicide . Stop thinking you can live a life of sin because Jesus died for them.Adulters and fornicators ect. will have thier place in the lake of fire.Repent

Australia's prime minister has just told everyone in the country to pray for rain.

As an atheist living in Australia, I feel appalled by this.

We are currently going through the worst drought in over a hundred years. The river systems can no longer support irrigation schemes, so many food crops are likely to fail.

In these situations, politicians should be putting practical policies in place to better preserve water resources in the future to be better prepared for drought management.

The PM has denied, until recently, that climate change is an issue at all, and, like Bush, refuses to sign the Kyoto protocol.

The local priest has the job of telling his flock to pray for rain.

Australia, like many other democracies, is supposed to have seperation of church and state. We have around 20% of the population are non-believers.

Shouldn't the PM keep his religious ideas to himself?

What gives him the right to tell people to pray?

Most likely they would first cower to the owner, then eventually would lash out with animal instinct and attack back.It is no differant I feel with a human who has been bullied by their peers thier entire life.First they withdraw as in the case with the young man at wv tech, then after years of rejection, add major depression, and stresses of college. He lost his mind, then the media accuses him of being narsasistic,he was mentally ill, they get great ratings due to the material he sent.If he had cancer would they have televised his suffering, most likely not.Calling him a narsist is like calling a cancer victim a hypocondriac. We as a society can destroy others with constant rejection, this is what i think created this young mans hate and heart of murder. What are you thoughts?

Thanks for the answers to my last Q, they've been a big help and got me thinking more about the topic. So here's another Q (or two).
1. What books are followed by the Jewish traditions? Are they considered to be from G-d (respectively) or something else, say for example a collection of teachings of religious leaders? I ask because it is my understanding that the Torah is considered divine while the Talmud is not (if I'm wrong, plz correct me) much like the Quran is from God and Hadith are from man.
2. Which of these Books' translations are included in the Old Testament of the Bible?

Honestly, wouldn't it be easier for Satan to just convince everybody that he was the good guy, and that God was the bad guy? If God is so powerful why doesn't he just snap his fingers and make us all good little boys and girls? Why would he need such a complicated recruiting device if he were really the "almighty"?

Do you agree that spirituality is stepping beyond the physical, the tangible, and in many cases the provable areas of everyday life and into an area where even the universe is not a boundary to thought or belief?

Do you agree that the study, the thought, the imagining, of ideas, facts, and areas proven and unproven, assiduously and with diligence, is in the denotative realm of religious?

Do you agree that the demonstrating of both spirituality and the religious activity is the foundation of any and all religions?

Do you agree that all but the trolls and clones are equal members of the Religion and Spirituality Forum of Yahoo Answers if by words and positions on topics they demonstrate fulfillment of the three questions above?

The spectrum flows from Atheist to Fundamentalist and the gaining of knowledge my come from either and all between. I am going to post these questions at least twice today in hopes that some might think, “Yeah, maybe that’s what it’s all about.”

I'm not going to say that you have to believe in my God, but how can you just sit their and deny flat out that their is a God? Just look around you, if we were a little bit closer or farther from the sun, we'd die. If the earth was tilted just right our seasons would not work right, so food would not be their. The world would crumble if the balance of protons and nurtrons in atoms were not balanced like they are. Our amptomsphere is a one of a kind thing that sustains life, this doesn't happen on other planets. This doesn't just happen by accedent. None of that. Even scientists are saying their has to be an 'intelligent designer' because of how the world works and is. So how can you just say "Their is no God"?

I just posted a question askin about conspiracy in christianity via the Da Vinci Code! And alot of the answers said its false the bible is right....blah blah blah! Now the true qestion is are you geting defensive?? Do you believe the bible and that it is all true just because you have never been told other wise? Its a book just like any other book that people wrote and edited! So what makes it so credible? What facts do we have besides a very old book and the words of people saying so? Do people believe just because they believe that they have to have some thing to believe in.....

Show me physical prove that there isn't a God, or show me physical prove that there is?

The only evidence I see that he does exist is in my heart and soul but its still not physical proof. I cannot touch God but I feel His presence, I cannot see God but I see His works.

What do you think, will science ever prove or diprove God's existence?

Considering all the theories out there that challenge a literal interpretation of the bible this is the one that is brought up again and again as an example as to how atheists/liberals are destroying the moral values of society. Considering all the applications of evolutionary theory such as the discovery of DNA, understand bacteria developing resistance to antibiotics and how to prevent it, and constructing enzymes/bacterias and other organic compounds to breakdown hazardous synthetic materials to name a few that are used in our society every day, is your denial merely to keep man's lineage separate from all other beings on the earth? What is it about the theory that seems so threatening?
