I know some of you Christians are decent and cool with the whole gay thing, but for those who think it's immoral or evil or sick...do you know that your Christian grandparents hated black people 50 years ago and treated them like second class citizens as well? **BTW, Jesus was black.**

As far as JC being black, I learned that from Malcolm X, and his argument has merit.

Oh, how incredibly deluded you are.

Jesus was a Semite, and therefore had a complexion consistent with Middle Eastern men.

I didn't HAVE Christian grandparents. I had ATHEIST grandparents.

I am cool with two friends who also happen to be homosexual. They know I do not approve of their behavior. But, they appreciate the fact that I don't tell them their sin is any worse than mine.

I just hate the agenda that says "Embrace my gayness."

Who says my grandparents hated black people?

And who says Jesus was black?

on edit:
I'll add that I've never had any difficulty accepting homosexuality, have gone to the mat defending a person's right to be gay, and have had one Member of Parliament thrown out over his homophobic pandering and convinced a TV show to air a gay-positive episode.

You, my friend, are not helping with immature accusations like this.

Being gay is an abomination to GOD! It does not matter what some luke warm, compromising wannabe "Christians" tell you. You need to listen to what GOD says! (If Malcolm X's opinion of Jesus were correct,he would have know that Jesus is GOD'S SON.)
Being born black is NOT THE SAME as choosing to live a homosexual life style.

You commit the fallacy of the false analogy (revisit Logic 101). It's not your fault, though, since many propose the analogy between racism and rejecting the behavior of homosexuality all the time. Still 1000 Moo Cows CAN be wrong (i.e. the fallacy of the bandwagon). Just because a whole lot of people do it, doesn't make it correct.

The Bible talks specifically against homosexual behaviors. It does not talk against different races. In fact it teaches that Christ's church will be made up of people "from every nation, tribe, and tongue." Christians can be perfectly consistent in their faith and accept those of other races and reject the behaviors of homosexuality (while still caring for the people who struggle with homosexual feelings).

Jesus wasn't black. The Jews are not black. Abraham (the ancestor of the Jews) was from what is now Iraq. The Iraqis are not black!

And the Bible clearly states that race doesn't matter. There is no Jew or Gentile, free or slave. Either there are those under Christ, or those who still have their sin.

I was with you until the last sentence.
I suppose you could mount a theological argument that Jesus was black, gay, unemployed, disabled, and generally all the discriminated-against minorities.
But if we're talking about the Historical Jesus, then that's a different matter...

Await the tide of "I don't hate homosexuals BUT... [insert hateful clause here]"

Jesus was black??? really? I thought he was Jewish.

I suppose at some point in history the Jewish people decided to become white.

Please do not ever group homosexuals with the civil rights movement, they are in no way shape or form similar. 2000 years ago homosexuality was widely accepted, it simply goes in cycles. Homosexuality is immoral, but just as immoral as alcoholism, adultery, lust, or anything else. I don't think it needs to be singled out like it is.
