I want to be where God is forgiving and good and that's it. No guilt, no icons, no texts, just God. Is there a religion like that?

have a paper due, over what I believe about Soteriology, or the study of salvation. The questions are drawn from a catechism. There are 24 total questions within this paper that I will answer. On executive decision, I chose to post each of these on Answers! but.... I am going to do them about once each day. They will be titled "Soteriology - Q # ______ . " I am going to poast the remaining bit of questions today. If you would like to answer all 24, search them through my name, and answer as many as you would like to. PLEASE BACK YOUR ANSWERS UP WITH REFERENCES TO SCRIPTURE, THOELOGICAL QUOTES, ETC. I want you to be as creative as possible, and I want as many people to participate as possible. Thank you for your participation! I do not want you to do my research. I want more opinions than just people I can find on my own. In a sense, think of it more as an interview.

That's just evading the question.
What's with all the circular arguments?

If I asked "where did the tooth fairy come from" theists would probably find that easier to answer for some reason.

asking for money if you don't attend Church? If you're never there, how do you know what goes on? If you don't attend Church, it's doubfult that you watch or listen to Christian programming, how do you know about the money asking? If you don't attend Church, how do you know if a person is a hypocrite? You're not there to see if the so called Christian, really goes to Church or not.. If you don't contribute to a Church, why does it bother you if they ask for money? It doesn't effect you! Why ridicule a hyprocrite? You should get along well with that sort of person.

If you repent and are saved, does is matter if you sin again? Do you have to continually repent, or are you automatically forgiven of other sins once you have been saved? Also, if you do have to repent each time, what is the way you repent? Is it through church officials, prayer or another form?

JOHN LENNON: Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said: "Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him" (1966). Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times..

TANCREDO NEVES (President of Brazil ): During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

CAZUZA (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet): During a show in Canecïo ( Rio de Janeiro ), whilst smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: "God, that's for you." He died at the age of 32 of AIDS in a horrible manner.

If a being is outside of time, it must be stagnant since all action and change can only happen within time. So this being could not "create" anything, right?

((I'm just now developing this though...Feed back?))

When I was a child, my mother would tell me to do or not do things because she knew it was bad for me. As a Father, I have had the same experience with my children. For some reason, kids need to learn to be good and also need to learn who to stop being bad. We come into the world bent towards bad behavior.

When you tell folks what Jesus did on the cross and they scoff and throw insults at you, how does that effect you? And why do you suppose they do that, is it because they are like children bent on doing bad, and refusing wise advice?

My suspicion is that most people have "gut knowledge" that the universe and everything in it must have a creator. In other words, most people intuitively feel that our very existence means that a God has to exist, and that there is no possible other explanation. I'm attempting to get people to realize (or to simply consider) the idea that "something can't come from nothing" is a paradox that can't be solved by invoking God because by doing so you still haven't explained where God came from. In short, if you can assume that "God is the 'first cause' and is uncreated" , then you should be able to understand that the universe may have always existed in some form and not require a creator.

No more excuses, don't blame anyone else. Rather you believe in God or do not, take responsibility for YOUR decision, YOUR choice to believe or not.
What are your thoughts on this most important question?

Hell is for those who refuse God and His gift.

Heaven is for those who recieve God and His gift of salvation.

Why is it that you either believe or do not?

I recently started attending an Apostolic church and love it! Everyone is so nice and the services are so inspiring. I want to become a member and never want to go to any other church.

My problem is that women are expected to dress like ladies, in skirts and dresses all the time. I've always been a "jeans and t-shirts" kind of girl, and have always been more comfortable in pants. I know I shouldn't wear them because the Bible teaches that women shouldn't wear clothing that pertains to men. Pants definitely pertain to men and I really do want to give them up. It's just that I worry about what friends and family will say and have yet to work up the nerve to get rid of all my pants. Plus, I'll have to start wearing pantyhose again, and I'm dreading that!

This question is for all the Apostolic and Pentecostal ladies, can you help me and give me advice? Please, all others who may be negative, don't reply! I love my new church and want only help and positive comments
