No more excuses, don't blame anyone else. Rather you believe in God or do not, take responsibility for YOUR decision, YOUR choice to believe or not.
What are your thoughts on this most important question?

Hell is for those who refuse God and His gift.

Heaven is for those who recieve God and His gift of salvation.

Why is it that you either believe or do not?

Always do take responsibility. No God. No Hell. No kidding.
Why? No evidence.

Who cares. Go be a good person and if theire is a heaven you should get in based on your personality and your actions and not on what religon you were part of. If there is a god and he cares whether or not people kiss his a** then that is not a god I want to associate myself with and I would rather be in hell than in his presence.

Maybe it's not up to you, maybe it needs to be infused into you through the work of the Holy Spirit. Choice then becomes a misguided belief that you did something for yourself when it wasn't -- it was God doing something for you.

I don't take threats well. I don't live a life of fear, nor do I choose a God just encase there might be one who will get mad at me if I don't choose him. There is no hell. There is no punishment for those who do not believe. There is no choice when one is punished for not choosing the "right" answer.

I believe.

I have nothing to lose by believing. If God is real, which I'm confident he is, then by being saved, I am granted eternal paradise in Heaven with him. If God is not real, then at least I died happy, believing in a higher power. Since I'll be dead, I'll never have known I was wrong.

As far as those who don't believe. They fear not Hell because they don't believe it exists. Do you fear Santa Clause? That's about how they consider religious views. Since they don't beleive in Hell, they don't ever worry about it.

Belief in anything is not a matter of choice. No one can arbitrarily choose to believe anything. So, given that, I am not sure what your point is.
