My friend told me about her religion, but didn't tell me the name of it. What is it?
She says she believes in God, but she doesn't worship him and live just for him, and she believes that every religion has a little bit of truth in it. But she believes in a mixture of evolution and creation.

Many people on Y/A believe that their personal faith in Christ saves them. They often quote Ephesians 2:8, 9 to back up their statement.

However, 1 Thessalonians 1:3 states, ""Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father". The fact that FAITH is a work is also mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 1:11.

So, if faith is a work then we cannot be saved by our faith. I know this sounds incorrect but we must let God word teach us. If we go to Galatians 2:16 we read: "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Jesus Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall not flesh be justified." If you read Galatians 2:20 (KJV) and Philippians 3:9 you will find the same truth.

Christ is the only One who is Faithful and True.

"Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise." Proverbs 20:1. "Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder." Proverbs 23:31, 32. "Neither fornicators ... nor drunkards ... shall inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10.

So if ur a christian, ur not suppose to drink alcoholic according to his word.

What do u think?

In biblical terms, is it true that Zion is a empire that represents God and the pure good, whilas Babylon is a city teeming with the very evil and power of satan? if so, do that make them polar enemies?

one more thing, the Arabs were blabbing something about a "holy war". Does that mean sooner or later, there will be a war between good and evil?

the inner Buddha-nature.

Suppose I have brought over such a zeal, and willingness to quickly grow, from my former religion. Christianity taught me a lot.
I have no regrets for having practiced my fomer religion, it had helped me a lot at that point in time in my life. And I have much respect for those who sincerely and genuinely practice Christianity today.
But this is the Last chapter in my life. One which has provided the means to totally dissolve, and erradicate all pain, sufferings, dissatisfactions {am still learning the first Noble Truth better, pls. bear with me patiently), and the means to acquire true Peace and Happiness. Have already learned how to be very Patient {Patience and tolerance as defined as being able to remain internally and externally calm, peaceful, and undisturbed in the face of harm and difficulties [choose to now call them challenges] in life, with others in life. I now have much purpose in life, and am learning to respect the free will of people.

Trolls get 30 answers per question, instead of just being ignored. People who post insanely hateful questions get even more answers, instead of being ignored by us.

With that we feed the hatred, we even increase it. And we're all part of that, including me.

Yesterday a few people said goodbye to this section, today Laptop Jesus said farewell after being deleted again.

Would there really be this much 'report abuse button abusers' if we stopped feeding all the hatred on this website? I seriously doubt it.

So, what's the point of an online forum if the users together can't even filter out the bad elements?

They have deleted yet another of Laptop's accounts. It seems that instead of honest information seeking, Religions and Spirituality has become a contest to see who can submit violations. I'm done, it used to be fun, but this is just getting ridiculous. Sorry. Those of you that I call friend can always email me.
