Many people on Y/A believe that their personal faith in Christ saves them. They often quote Ephesians 2:8, 9 to back up their statement.

However, 1 Thessalonians 1:3 states, ""Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father". The fact that FAITH is a work is also mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 1:11.

So, if faith is a work then we cannot be saved by our faith. I know this sounds incorrect but we must let God word teach us. If we go to Galatians 2:16 we read: "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Jesus Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall not flesh be justified." If you read Galatians 2:20 (KJV) and Philippians 3:9 you will find the same truth.

Christ is the only One who is Faithful and True.

To me a person has to have an exsperiance with Christ in order to be saved because the Holy Spirit of Christ is going to teach you of him and what the Bible teaches the Bible has many mysteries in it and the Holy Spirit is what opens it up to us as we pray and seek knowledge and wisdom and understanding of God.

You have faith but not in Jesus Christ, this is why you follow the teachings for everyone but Jesus Christ.

You do not believe in the Words, spoken by Jesus Christ, therefore, you quote the words of someone else and then try to convince others they are actually the Words of Jesus Christ, this is why you claim that all scripture is the Word of God, even though in the same breath you claim, Jesus is the Living Word of God, and that his Body is the Word of God, and that his blood is of the New Testament, but then believe in the 10 Commandments of the Old Testaments.

Jesus left a prophecy for you, read Revelation 2:9 and 3:9.

Faith is one of the gifts .. If you see this is refering to a work of faith not faith itself.
