I don't require your opinion on Jesus.
I'm curious to know if anyone has ever met anyone who has not heard of him.

I received the following today:

From: X

Re: Jesus
Hi how are you doing? I hope you are having a good day. Although you may not accept Jesus as your savior, he loves you.
He is your friend. He went to the cross for you. As people we need to be punished. You and I are SO sinful we deserve to go to hell. However, God loves us so much he sent Jesus to save us. All you have to do is believe in him.
Have a nice day.

I find this e-mail highly inappropriate. I would never e-mail someone trying to force my beliefs on to them. Yahoo! Answers is a forum for people to debate, to express their opinions and to read others.

You may be sinful, but you have no right to pass judgement on my life, as you do not even know me.

I have enough friends, I never asked him to go to the cross (because I wasn't born), and isn't the fact that I am an Atheist evidence that I have no intention in believing in him.

Why must I be saved?

I was asked the following "question" and was curious as to how other Pagans might have responded.

Obviously, the questioner requires an actual "church" to accept a religion as valid, and I took the question as simply sarcasm from someone that didn't know any better. I did, however, provide a link so they could find more information should they want to educate themselves on another point of view.

I had defended Paganism and stated that I do attend gatherings and some other stuff that would be common knowledge among other Pagans.

"But I want to ask where a pagan church is? I know of none. The Central Church of Paganism? Never heard of it. Where are the gatherings and what might the subject matter be? "

I'm pro-choice, but i can understand the sentiments of people who are against abortion. It is a difficult subject.

Pro-lifers usually tell me they are "pro-choice too, because the fetus would choose to be alive".

Can I assume, based on this, that pro-lifers would also be in favor to wait with baptizing or circumcizing a child until the children reach an age on which they can choose for themselves whether or not they want that?

I mean, just like you can't undo an abortion, you also can't be unbaptized or uncircumcized, right?

It is clear that life is random. Coincidences are just that. Not some mystical intervention. If you have any real evidence to the contrary please explain why I should believe that there is a deity with it's hand on the chess board of life.

PS. If you are at my brothers funeral and you say to me "god has a plan and there is surely a reason for this occurance", I will likely respond by punching you in the nose and saying "I disagree with your logic, but there is a reason why I puched you in the nose. It's because you're an insensitive ***".
