It is clear that life is random. Coincidences are just that. Not some mystical intervention. If you have any real evidence to the contrary please explain why I should believe that there is a deity with it's hand on the chess board of life.

PS. If you are at my brothers funeral and you say to me "god has a plan and there is surely a reason for this occurance", I will likely respond by punching you in the nose and saying "I disagree with your logic, but there is a reason why I puched you in the nose. It's because you're an insensitive ***".

Because it makes the unbearable a little easier to bear. But not at someone's funeral. The only proper remark at a funeral is, "I'm so sorry for your terrible loss."

It helps me to know that everything is as it should be - just as it is and just as it isn't. Having faith that God has everything in perfect control gets me through a lot of tough parts of my life. This way of thinking doesn't work for you. But it does work for me. I think it's all about our choices - and nobody's are wrong - we're just different.

Still - if your brother died - I would never say such a thing to you at the funeral. When people are feeling sad over a loss - any loss - it's a time to comfort them - and pushing your spiritual philosphy on them is certainly not the way to do it.

So you believe in chance.

Its all in the cards, the luck of the draw.

Nature, science, and religion all point to a definite order of elements and events. That certain forces and actions elicit equal but opposite reactions.

Scientifically your theory fails.
