I'm afraid you are assuming people with a definite "religious-based" point of view on abortion are thinking logically, and will therefore apply the same logics to all aspects of life. You are, obviously, wrong. Most people who say they are pro-life because "the fetus would choose to be alive" actually do no think that way, but are just justifying their religious-based point of view instead. When confronted to the other questions (let the child decide whether or not to be baptized or circumcized) they will change their logics saying things such as "you cannot wait for the child to be old enough, since if it dies young, it will go to hell for not being baptized" and stuff like that. In the end, their answers are not based in logic but in religious dogma.
And before anyone takes me wrong, I am not criticysing religious people, nor am I in favor or against abortion. I just think some people think they are acting rationally when they are not.

circumcision is done out of medical justification not religion.
when was the last time you heard a christian say I got to circumcise because it says it in the bible.
circumcision is done world wide because doctors say its healthier for the boy to have that done.
I have come across some websites that say the opposite, but our culture favors it because doctors say men have more sensitivity and better health when they are circumcised.
As for baptizing, there is no harm in baptizing an infant.
I would submit that infant baptizing is done because it makes people feel better.
I guess its the same as blessing your new house.
I neither agree or disagree with infant baptizing.
however, I feel Jesus wants us to be baptized when are old enough to understand him.
As for my reasons why I'm against abortion is simple:
life begins at conception.
I just don't get the connection between pro life and baptism.
God Bless

Baptism is an outward sign. Most Religions believe unaccountable age children are in God's care.
Baptism without a belief is an outward sign. If a parent decides to Baptize an infant that is an outward sign.
The primice being you will do all you can to assist this child to be as Godly as you can. At about 8 yrs--they have a conformation if the child wants it.

I am what you might call "pro-life",but as many others have already said, the questions about circumcision and baptism do not really apply because: #1 circumcision is totally optional(for christians, and most jews)-it has no religious significance anymore, and #2 baptism is required only of those who are old enough(and otherwise mature enough) to be held accountable by God and are able to make their own choice in this matter. The baptism of young children and/or infants is NOT necessary nor scriptural!

Actually...regarding baptism...if we follow the teachings of Christ, the children will be adults or near adulthood before they are baptized. Baby baptism is really not based on Biblically sound teachings. If I did some research on it, I am sure I would find out it was a pagan practice before the Catholic church brought it to Christianity.
Regarding circumcision...I am glad my parents did it when I was the right age according to the Bible, otherwise it would hurt so much more now. It is more a health issue than anything anyway. The studies I have read about plainly show that men who are circumcised are cleaner, have less risk of cancer, and their mates also have less risk of cancer. What is showing more love than causing your partner to develop cervical cancer? What's more loving than having a nasty odor down under? Thanks Mom and Dad for paying the extra $100 for me to be clean!

Yep, you got it right...however, some parents circumcise so that the son will 'look like the father'. Personally, I think that's a lot of bunk...but, yes, wait till the child is old enough to understand what these things stand for and if they want that in their lives. I'm a pro-lifer.

You have asked for my opinion so i will give it.
I am against abortion...anyone who thinks it is ok in its place should do an google image search on abortion, there you will see tiny bodies literally ripped apart. Even if a woman has been raped.Surely that woman can be kind enough, for want of a better term, enough to carry the baby to term, and give it to a loving home.
I am against infant circumcision too, it is done without anesthetic for crying out loud! There is no justification for that! Do it when they are older and can have anesthetic, if you insist on pushing your beliefs on your own child!
I also am against baptism, and christenings,if "god' wouldn't let my child into heaven because of something i failed to do then i don't think its a loving enough place for my child to be!
You asked i gave, have a nice day....

It would depend on the Pro-lifer, just like a political view, but I would assume that most pro-lifers would also get baptized so they can be pro-lifers in heaven

mean, just like you can't undo an abortion, you also can't be unbaptized or uncircumcized, right
wrong...with what authority are you being baptized? with the same authority as John the Baptist? is that assumed that you have it from John the Baptist? or can you prove that it came from him?
if you have been baptized without proper authority..then it is like getting a speeding ticket from a security guard...it obviously doesn't hold water...SO...
YOU WERE NEVER BAPTIZED...UNLESS YOU WERE BAPTIZED FROM SOMEONE HOLDING THE PROPER AUTHORITY!!!
YOU WERE BAPTIZED...IT JUST MEANS JACK SQUAT!!!

I'm a pro-lifer, and I don't believe in baptizing children. That's a choice they can make as an adult.
