How do you know that
a) Jesus lived (quoting the Bible doesn't count)
b) He touched more lives and gave more hope than anyone else? (quoting the Bible doesn't count here, either)
Have you gone back in time and counted every person who was touched by various people? Have you gone into the future and counted every person who will be touched by someone?
The answer to both of the above questions is, 'of course not.'
And, again, if you use the bible to try to support your answer that doesn't count.
It just doesn't.

Billions of asians say its Lord Buddha, while a lot of westerners say it was Jesus Christ, and millions of middle-easterners say it was Muhammad. So it dependns on your religion.
Also, your question is actually a waste of time, since you do not need to know anything, but ask something for what you actually "think" to know the answer. And you even dare to ask for stars! You should be ashamed of that.

Previously it was Jesus and in the present generation, Shri Sathya Sai Baba and I do not intend any comparison. Both are Divine and descended to the earth for the very reasons put forth in your question. nagarajan.

Hitler touched about 600 million lives in one way or another.
Michael Jackson touched about the same amount. And that's not even counting the little boys.
